We nearly ran foul of a 'flipper' from South London, prior to Crystal acquiring us! He/she/it advertised a dog, saying it was 4 months old. In reality it was clearly older with a full adult coat. Later as I inquired more it became 7 weeks old, then finally 6 months, as lie replaced lie! We couldn't go to see it, as he was away? However the dog could be delivered for four hundred dollars cash. Apparently these awful people either steal mature dogs to order with sob stories attached, or force breed them by the dozen in whelping cages, until the poor mum's die of exhaustion. An expos'e on british TV a few weeks back uncovered a heartless woman in Sussex. Undercover filming showed 100's of puppies, including some T cup Yorkies, poor, little creatures! All she got was a few hundred hours 'community needlework' classes and declared unfit to run a kennel, as she'd had a
tip off and cleared all the dogs
(evidence) out, before the Police arrived. Now she'll set up again in another name and re-peddle her vile trade! I'd have her in clink for 5 years, but in the UK now, we have to do as we are told by the
European Union, having no laws of our own anymore.
'Europeans' (Germany apart) are disinterested in animal welfare, so this vile trade, now also rife in the old Soviet Eastern States
(now in the EU) too, is expanding exponentially! How people fall for such horrible trickery is beyond me, as they are easily rumbled with the right approach. Perhaps no-one has the time to search thoroughly any more in this modern world? I got the
'flipper' I mentioned above, apprehended and criminally prosecuted by our RSPCA
'The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals', which is a charity I've long supported. Apparently not enough of us do this though sadly for the poor little dogs victimized by the lowest depths of humanity!
