She's Feeding Her Bear
 
Lexi took a stuffed animal (Bear) which is bigger than she is out of my daughters room about a month ago. I removed the eyes and nose and it's become her favorite toy. Well, the first time we brought the bear downstairs in the kitchen, where her food is, I noticed that right after she ate she had carefully placed the bear on top of her food bowl with it's mouth in the bowl! I thought it was just a fluke and moved him out of the bowl. About 10 minutes later I looked and he was back on top of the bowl! I told my DD that I though she was trying to feed the Bear. LOL

Well, shortly after, I was baking chicken in the oven. After about 15 minutes, the good food smell started coming from the oven. I looked over and she had placed the bear directly in front of the oven and she was off playing with another toy. Since then, every time I bake she puts the bear in front of the oven. She's making sure her baby gets a good meal!

Thank you. She really is. She has become so hysterical. My DD and I look at her and just break into laughter all the time...and she's just sitting there. She's always doing something like that and bounces away like she's just done the most incredible thing ever. Sometimes she's so proud that she bounces so high it looks like her feet aren't even touching the ground! I've had puppies before and I loved them all. But, she's soooo different. Her expression, movement, demeanor...everything. She's just like a little kid...in the terrible 2's.

Feeding her bear. She's a mess!

Getting the pic is the easy part. I'd love to get a video, but I've never actually seen her actually do it. I'll be busy in the kitchen and look up and the bear is in the bowl or in front of the oven! She's never still so she's always off shaking another toy to death by then. My kids are college age so they're usually not home. So, it's just Lexi and I. Otherwise, I'd swear someone else had done it.

I think that's a part of what makes it so funny to me. I know I didn't do it and she's the only other 'person' there. And, it just looks like he just got up and walked over there himself.

Dogs never fail to amaze me with their compassion and love. I can feel how much you love Lexi, and that warms my heart. She sounds absolutely precious.

That's so cute! Callie puts some of her toys face first on her paper plate where he dog food is cracks me up she also will grab her toys if anyone touched one and sniff and lick it all over like we hurt it lol.

I KNEW she wasn't the only one. They are so funny. Also, you must be more gentle when you 'play' with her toys. They're playing pretend Mommy. Like I said, just like little kids...

Awww....what a sweetie pie, she's taking such good care of her baby! What a caring little doggie. It would be lovely to see pictures/video.

That really is a great story!! :) All Jasper does is take a toy with him to the pee pad, do his. Business and leave his buddy behind. :confused:

No, she's not in heat. She just got her stitches out from her spay 2 days ago. But, she started feeding him about a month ago right after she snatched him and ran from my daughter's room dragging her new BFF.

LOL!!! Lexi and Callie are going to have to teach Jasper a thing or two about looking out for his buddies. :D

Very sweet! Lexi is funny.

Max has a baby doxie that he takes on "walks" around the house (he has a route), puts to bed, and puts in front of the window.

She has to teach Nena and Rufus how to take car of their babies :D

That is the cutest story. You really need to have video.

I had a kitty, MoonShadow that used to carry around a little classic tigger. It was in a bunch of plushies. I would find it places and could not figure out how it got there. I even put it on the bottom and I would find it down the stairs. Then I saw him carrying his baby. I would go ask him to find his baby and he would go get tigger. It was too funny
