| How to deal with another dog leaving? My stepdaughter moved out yesterday and took the Boston Terrier with her. Cooper is lost, confused and pacing waiting for them to come back. They aren't. They've been together for 3 years and now she's not here. He doesn't understand whats going on. There is a cat here........so he's not the only animal left in the house. How do I make this easier/better for him? |

| Awww, that's sad. Give him a lot of extra attention. How old is Cooper? Any chance you could adopt another yorkie to keep him company?

| He will be 4 in November. No, no chance of that. He's just confused, sad and out of sorts. We are paying him extra attention, no crating without Lily, etc. |

| Will your stepdaughter being bringing her Boston to your home for visits or could Cooper go visit her sometime? It sounds like Cooper was pretty close to the Boston.

| She will be back around every 6 weeks or so with Lily....just a shock I guess. I miss her as much as he does Just an adjustment we all have to get used to. Cooper seems especially sad. |

| AW, sorry the baby is grieving losing his buddy! Just give him lots of love & attention, and when she comes back for a visit, Cooper will understand she's not gone for good. Then he should be okay after that (hopefully).

| He's sleeping with us, not crated at all during the day....wouldn't do that to him without his crate buddy. I guess he'll be fine. Heck, we're all sad I'm sure he'll be fine, within a few days he'll be king of the castle again. |

| My Aussie had the same problem with my neighbors dog when they moved, he became depressed and searched for their dog. So I went down to the pound and got another dog. They have been together 12 years now. I currently have four. Two large dogs (12 years old over 70 lbs) and two small dogs ( yorkie/maltese puppies) |
