| mimimomo | 07-16-2013 10:02 AM | @ grooming school, my instructor called the area under the anus, "the runway". You are NOT to shave the runway, otherwise you'll end up w/a baboon butt just like the pic lolll! I really like the tiny clippers like tid bit or peanut, it's great for trimming the hairs under the paws, around the paws, tipping ears & sanitary trims. I personally use the Wahl Arco rechargeable clippers, it's great for everything, very handy to have & super quiet. I only trim the hairs around the anus, that's where the poopies tend to hang onto if it gets too long. Like others have mentioned, my guys have firm poopies too, so we don't get dingle berries hanging from their bum too often. Quote:

I don't have close up pictures, but I use scissors to trim only around the anus, about the size of a dime. Anyone using scissors in this area should be very, very careful. A cut to the anus can cause profuse bleeding, as one groomer here cautioned.
My boys are in full coat, so you can't see anything unless you lift their tails and look closely. Attachment 389219 | That has got to be the most beautiful bum shot I've ever seen! Quote:

I don't trim my 3 either. Thankfully, their poo is nice & firm. I haven't had a problem. It is an issue with the occasional soft poo :( But that rarely happens. I have to attach my favorite butt shot. You gave me a good excuse :D | Cute, cute, cute! |
