Petsmart experience= bad Well I just got back from Petsmart and had the worst experience I have ever had there. I was excited to buy some items (especially clothes thanks to lovetodreams picture post about her closet-lol) and a few things happened that completely shocked me 1. Cashier was rude and didn't want to sell me a little outfit because it rang up at 1 cent. 2. I bought a new puppy bed and when I got home I found larvae on it. 3. When I looked at the receipt when I got home they over charged me for one of the items. 4. I call customer service and the csr was dry and rude to me. Sigh. I was so happy and excited but now I'm feeling a little bummed about it. I spent a nice chunk of change there and I feel they didn't deserve my business. :mad: |

I am so sorry that your visit to the store was so disapointing! I live within 10min of 4 different PetSmart stores and havent ever had a problem. You might return everything. I would ask for the store manager not a shirt manager when you arrive and even call the district manager. |
Wow, that's pretty awful. I have generally had pretty good experiences with them, but I do a lot of my shopping on amazon.com so might not have as much experience there as others here. Don't get too bummed though since you have a new furbutt on the way! |
Crap, I've had bad experiences at PetSmart and every other store I've ever been in more than once...I'm sorry you went through that...I know the disappointment, when you get up tomorrow go back to the store and ask for a manager and I'm sure it will be better...CS stinks now adays.... |
the pet bed is the worst of your experience.. rude people and mistakes WILL happen from time to time no matter where you shop. But the dirty bed is something i wouldn't be able to brush off. it either means the store is filthy or it was returned and they just put it back on the shelf. Not cool! |
How very disappointing, I'm so sorry. If it were me...I'd bag it all up return it for a full refund and ask to speak with the store manager. This should not go unnoticed, management needs to know, not only about the incorrect charges and rude help but the faulty (filthy) goods. Do not accept a store credit, who needs that? Take your money elsewhere, maybe to some of YT's wonderful vendors or specialty shops nearby. Good luck!!! |
I do all my shopping that I can possibly do, for EVERYTHING I buy, on line! I hate the traffic, the parking hassel, the mugging in the parking lots, and until the government skewers up shopping on line, it is really the BEST!!! I love PayPal, so dont run up credit cards....love free shipping, love the pricing, love the people I have purchased items from here on YT.....shopping on line, for ME, is a win/win situation! Only con I can think of is I forget what I have ordered! I have to write it down, so I can be watching for it! |
I'm going to go back today to return a few of the items. Hopefully I have a better experience. I will def talk to a manager about the larvae issue on the bed. That was so gross! |
There was a BIG tick walking on a shampoo bottle in Petsmart last time I went. Gross! I was going to take a picture but as soon as I took my phone out, it went on the other side. I was going to post a pic from the internet so you guys have and idea how big it was, learned my lesson, DO NOT GOOGLE "Dog Ticks". EWWWW :fainted: |
Wow I am sorry you had a bad experience. I would call and find out when the store manager is in and go in then and speak to them. The second think I would do is re call customer service. Ask for a supervisor. Tell them about your experience in the store and in the phone. They should clear it up |

I took some food that we got for Gina, back to petsmart, even though it was open, they gave me a refund and the cashier was very pleasant and nice to deal with. Gina had a mild reaction to the food, and they took it back and gave me a full refund, with a smile. Customer service has taken a back seat in most industries nowadays, but every now and then you find the good stores that teach that without us they wouldn't be in business, and they need to remember this. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with your petsmart, but not all of them are bad, this one store has always been a good one, and a pleasant shopping experience. Cheers Quad:aimeeyork |
