Do you dress up your yorkies? I'm into that cutesy stuff. |
1 Attachment(s) Yes, I dress up Yazmin. I started dressing her bc she was so tiny and the weather was still so cold when she came home. Yazmin enjoys wearing clothing but you have to be very careful that your dog doesn't get overheated depending on the weather. There's a list of YT members who make gorgeous custom clothing in the Yorkie Products for Sale forum. My iPad will only allow me to upload one photo at a time but this dress was made by Sherry's Pet Stuff. |
1 Attachment(s) Here's another one of Yazmin's dresses made by YT member (normarae63*), Sherry's Pet Stuff. |
1 Attachment(s) Only in cold weather, otherwise in summer they wear their bandanas. |
1 Attachment(s) My Oscar wears a Jacket/Coat in the Winter.. Other than that No Clothes..:) |
YES!!! Leiloni is rarely without clothes. |

Cinders is dressed in something everyday, since most of her dresses are harnesses. :) Top knot... that's another story! Sometimes the bow and bands stay in longer than 2 seconds, sometimes they're gone and I have to frantically search for them, hoping she didn't eat them! |
P.S. Definitely look at YT members shops for custom made outfits. Most are really reasonably priced, made from quality materials, and fit way better than the mass produced things you find at pet stores. :) This is an example of what I mean...I could pay 14.99 for a dress at Petsmart, but I can get a quality, well fitting dress harness from conniedressmydog for $2 to $3 dollars more. :) Link to the YT members stores- http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ore-sites.html |
i dress yorkies just not my own!! haha they hate anything other than jammies if they are cold. |
Yes, except during the warmer months. |
I put a coat or a sweater on morgan during the winter and that's it |

I only dress one of my four pups The other three don't like it at all. |
1 Attachment(s) Teena's been wearing clothes everyday lately & it seems to be helping her allergies. I'm really having fun dressing her-she's such a cutie in her outfits! Dolly has beautiful floor length hair that gets messed up in clothes. She always has a pretty topknot barrette (Teena, too) & wears necklaces. Here's a picture of their closet: |
Guess it depends what you consider dressing up. Callie had at least a shirt on everyday except if she is outside in the summer or we are going somewhere in the summer, or if it is hot inside. She gets cold pretty easy and its not because she is so tiny she is 16 pounds lol. I do put her in more dressy clothes when people are coming over, if its a holiday or a winter dog event some where or certain times we are going to the vet. She has a lot of clothes lol. She also sleeps in night gowns. If I noticed she is ever hot I either take her clothes off or move to a thinner shirt. I noticed a few dogs outside at a pet even two weeks ago dressed in clothes and it was over 80 degrees and the dogs where panting like crazy and I think at those times it should be considered abuse because the dog is obviously overly hot and heat stroke becomes a serious risk. |

Check the section called YT fashion forum too! There's a ton of creative designers there that will make something cute for your pup if you ask. :) |
Molly has a few cute things but she doesn't really like them much. She does wear a coat in the winter months no matter what. I'm working on getting her used to at least wearing a shirt :D |

I dress Priscilla up. She usually wears clothes everyday. If she ever acts like she doesn't want it I don't force her. She actually will put her head in clothes by herself if she wants to wear them. If she doesn't put her head in I don't put them on her. |
2 Attachment(s) I'd usually dress Minnie up in either pajamas (wish I had a photo; she was so cute in them) or a shirt in the winter. Will probably do the same with Cookie this winter too, though she'd probably laugh at our Texas winters being from Fairfax, MO and all lol. |
I only dress Mandie up for pictures because she doesn't like wearing clothes and I love her to wear them. We meet 1/2 way. IF I ever take her to an event, I will put clothes on her, but at home..no. She wore a dress for about the first hour of our last Alabama Yorkie Meet-up. She is just too tomboy for clothes lol |

I had their things scattered a bit & finally decided to fix up the linen closet for all of their stuff. It's so nice to have everything doggie related in one place. The photo didn't show the other shelves with their supplies. |

I plan on getting little dresses and stuff. I hope she likes clothing because I know some dont care for clothes. I already picked out some hello kitty stuff for my future girl yorkie. 😊 I will definitely check I'm here because I do expect to get things custom made. It's a good thing summer is almost over. |
Can you say excessive?...lmbo! Quote:
I just BET you've got a lot more stuff than we see here. That armoire is darling; we just use a bookcase with spring loaded bars for ours! OP, there are many people around YT who are very creative. Everyone else: If you do a search, there're several threads discussing both purchased and homemade armoires. I hope Jenny comes back to let us know where she got hers! |

If I were to keep Mandie in clothes all the time...I'd almost certainly have her in a Joey Cut. :) |
