| ![]() I have been using the Maden brushes (and absolutely love them) but I was wondering if the Mason Pearson all natural bristle brush would be a nice addition /complement to my grooming kit. Also, is it worth the expense? |

| ![]() I have a Fekkai boar bristle that I use on their coats as a final brush. I love the way it shines up their coat & lessens the static without having to use product. I'm actually going to purchase another boar bristle soon, but haven't decided on the brand yet. I'm considering a #1 All Systems specifically for dogs...#1 All Systems Pure Boar Bristle Dog Brush. I LOVE my boar bristle brush!! It's a MUST in our grooming routine. That being said, I really don't know if I want to spend over $150 on a brush. I know that Mason Pearson makes a "pocket" boar bristle for around $100. I would consider that one. If you're going to use it every day & if you love the benefits of boar bristle, then I would say it's worth it ![]()

| ![]() I have talked to several Yorkie exhibitors who love their Mason Pearson boar bristle brushes. We wanted to carry them in our dog boutique, but MP markets to humans only. The company did acknowledge that they have received a lot of praise from dog show people. A less expensive alternative is the ISINIS. I have the nylon bristle ISINIS and it is a great detangler. Bought it on Amazon after it was recommended by an exhibitor here. The All Systems pure boar bristle brush does have a fuller head, as does the Chris Christensen brand. I'm not sure how this would compare to the wider spaced boar bristles.

| ![]() I have the Chris Christensen one that also has nylon bristles in it. I love it for both Katie's and my hair. The Mason Pearson brushes are beautiful, but these are more affordable. I use my wooden pin brush the most on Katie, but I love this brush and also my Madan brush, too. For finishing, Gemy recommended the Chris Christensen gold plated brush, so I have that one, too. I have a lot of brushes and combs. The Madan mustache comb is a must. I have three of them and also the face/leg comb by CC, which is so similar but much more expensive.
