Just checking back for updates. So glad the little guy is home. Galen was on our prayer list yesterday and you too ! We worry so much about our Yorkie Babies, even though 99% of the time it turns out fine, when it is your baby, the waiting is awful. |
First, happy they didn't have to do the extra procedure and the surgery went well. Wowzers! 17 teeth?! He must've looked like a shark, huh? Mandie just had the 2 top canines retained and pulled. |
Im glad Galens home and well. Wow 17 teeth that is just a crazy amt of teeth to be pulled. Mine both had 4 teeth pulled. Did they give you the teeth to keep |
So glad to hear all went well, I am going to talk to our vet about having Bella spade.....she is a year old now. |

I think Galen is the first 17 teeth pulled dog I have heard about. One of mine had 9 pulled. I was amazed at the size of the teeth. Such little dogs. There is a lot more tooth than what we can see. Thanks for the good news update. |
Galen is going to be 8 months on July 6th. He pulled puppy teeth. He did look like a little shark. Even His 4 puppy canines were still in. I have all the little teeth. I can make a little puppy necklace with them lol. He is doing better. Thanks everyone :) |

Is Galen able to eat after having all of those teeth removed? Poor little guy. :( |

I really thought Winston needing 14 retained baby teeth removed was the record...your Galen beat that for sure. The vet said one of Winston's was the strangest thing she had ever seen, I have the tooth as proof, the adult tooth, a molar, had grown right up through the middle of the baby tooth...it has a perfect hole in the center for putting on a chain as a charm...lol!!! |

I will be calling Monday to set up Jasper's neutering at the end of this month. With all of this talk about extra teeth....and since I haven't seen any fall out of his mouth.....I had him on his back earlier and noticed 2 on the top front and 2 on the bottom front that were doubles. I could not see the sides or the back. This is the first time I have ever come across this before. Do I need to ask to have the vet pull them when I set up the appt? I apologize. I'm not trying to steal your thread, Verbena. |
Happy 8-month-old Day Galen  Glad the wee man is ok and came through his ops ok (((HUGS))) I know we all say it'll be fine...the vets do a hundred of these every month...etc etc....but you DO worry when it's your own baby, don't you :) Definitely think you should keep those teeth (if the vet let you have them) and perhaps even make one into a necklace :p Yes, I'm weird, I know :D |
