We're just wondering... have any of you already written your will & how have you planned to take care of your pups if/when you die? Thanks! | YES, we have our 3 in our will and have a large Pet Trust set up for them if we both pass. The Pet Trust ensures that any/all care they may ever need will be fully paid for...so no one will ever have to fret over expenses. Anything left over from the trust after our babies pass goes to animal charity (this avoids any human trying to NOT spend the trust in order to keep the money for themselves, just in case they end up outside of our family/friends, god forbid :(). Our 3, currently, will go to my husband's parents - we will gift them w/ an immediate cash gift, just for being willing to take on 3 add'l dogs. We also have arrangements to help pay for their living costs if they need to move to a different house bc of the 3 add'l dogs (bc they already have 2).
I also have a document with all of the doggies' info like birth dates, vet contacts, id chip numbers, what they eat / treats, meds, supplements, vaccine info, important medical history, and other pertinent details. |
