OH NO! My dogs are mental. They have severe separation anxiety. When they have been loose or had too big of an area, they potty in the house everywhere! :( We have to confine them for their safety and to not have puddles of pee everywhere! I hate doing it and I hate knowing they are suffering anxiety, but it is what it is. |
Roxie was nearly 3 when we got her, so she was already well house-trained. We gated her in the kitchen for a little while when we would go out, but we soon realized that it wasn't really necessary. She has free roam of the first floor. She never goes upstairs because the stairs aren't carpeted and there are a lot of them. She is perfectly content to lounge around in the living room/dining room/kitchen areas. She doesn't get into anything or chew anything, other than her toys. :aimeeyork |
yep my boys have free reign of the house, no problems to report at all. I count myself lucky that I have two well behaved boys. I just have to pick up toys strewn across the floor |
Princess Sophie has the run of the kitchen, office area, bathroom and den. We lave laminate flooring in the kitchen, linoleum in the bathroom, and a rug in the den (which was new but she has completely destroyed). We still don't trust her in the rest of the downstairs because when the DH gives her that much freedom, I always (and I mean always) find a little present in the library and I have no idea if she's doing anything else in there. That's the only room in which we have wall to wall carpet and are having it professionally cleaned next month. She just can't be completely trusted yet, neither can my DH. LOL |
