I have five Yorkies. Three of mine are active therapy dogs and are very well behaved. They ride quietly and passively in a purse carrier. So yes they can go almost every where . Rubin and Gracie go for stroller rides in stores and places. If you see me, 95% of the time I have a Yorkie with me. They take turns so everyone gets an outing each week.

Yes I take tiger everywhere and he is happy and i am to cuz the days that I go without him . I come back and the look on his face be like . Why you didn't take me ... LOL

I've only dad 'Crystal' 10 days, but like my other little dog, she's coming everywhere possible. When I can't take her in, I've got a small travel case for her to feel secure within the car, plus a shoulder carrier sling. I can't understand why people object to such tiny ineffectual little creatures? Wretched social politics or Health and Safety probably? Over this side of the 'Pond' we also have the blasted European Union telling us what to do as well.

Bug is my first yorkie and I still haven't figured out the etiquette rules for where she can and can't go -- even in a bag/carrier. I mean, I don't want to bring her into a restaurant or grocery store, I can see how that would freak people out. But I also tend to assume that I actually can't bring her anywhere unless the store explicitly says I can. I'd love to bring her more places but I just don't know what's acceptable and what's not...

Winston likes to go out with me, but he really doesn't like everybody...I think he's a wee bit stuck up. He will never growl or snap at people...he just simply ignores them, either walks away or turns his head. I really do not know why he is like that...but he is.

I am glad u said that about her kid .. I have 3 kids of my own and if i dont want people to talk bad about my kiddos than I will always keep my mouth shut and not talk about there dogs (or any thing else for that matter). Because to me Dogs and kids have to be treated with respect.And YES YES I know that people and pets are 2 different things but so are people and cars and look how crazy people get when some one just stands by there precious shinny car.. She deserved everything you told her , do not feel bad because you defended your Dog!

I pretty much figure if they don't have it posted "No Pets" then I'm going for it. Of course, I don't take them to places selling or serving people food.

My cousin and I got into a discussion about this very topic. He has a cute little Pug,,, around 11 lbs who he takes everywhere dogs are permitted and didn't feel it was right to take my dog places he couldn't take his just because he was much smaller and easier to hide. See I am totally guilty of taking my furbaby everywhere. I think the only places I didn't take Gus to was amusement park type places. He used to go to Church, Dr. appointments, Market, Movie theaters and yes even places where food was served. From fast food places like Jack n the box to Red Lobster. Gus was always with me and NO ONE ever knew he was even there. Not unlike the cutest little baby girl who was in need of a bath after filling her diaper on up her back all over her clothes blanket and car seat at Black Angus or the Lady who's clothes was full of cat hair that made my Husbands eyes all itchy and watery and could not stop sneezing at McDonalds or the man at Walmart who smelled so bad I was actually gaging. The point is, I'm not hurting anyone nor is my dog. I would not force my pet to go places if he/she didn't like it. I don't take Leiloni out much because she has not completed all of her shots but the places she has gone she was happy quiet and very well behaved. I don't know if she will be like Gus and what to go everywhere when she gets older but if she does then you can best believe I will.
