Bringing my dog to the movie theater
 
I know some of the members on here bring their dogs into the movie theater with them. I was wondering if you have any tips for taking your dog in there. Tomorrow I will be taking two of my little cousins and Priscilla to the park to play, and then to the movies. It will be during the day so not to many people will be in the theater at that time.

I've taken mine to the movies, I have him in a discreet purse carrier. He does really well, no barking or whining. Once we are settled, I have him sitting on my lap and he's content and sleeps through the movie. I started training him right when I got him, so he is very well behaved wherever we go.

Maybe put something in the carrier she could chew on while the movie is going on

I know I shouldn't ask...but why would you want to take your dog to the movies? Not trying to be mean just asking? I never took Paris anywhere like that but he was a bigger Yorkie.

I'm afraid to try to take Cinders into any store in her carrier/ purse. Mine will conceal
her, but I know she'll bark at someone.

Haha Miley does the same thing. She likes to make it known that she's there!

If you know you shouldn't ask why did you? She is my dog and to be completely honest I really don't have a good reason.

I don't think they were intentionally being rude. I think it was just out of curiosity. I too was curious but my thoughts were probably because you simply want to!

I wouldn't have a good reason to sneak mine in anywhere either. :thumbup: Only reason would probably be to see if I could.

haha now I want to try taking Miley. She'd probably put up a fuss and try to get out of her carrier but she'd eventually fall asleep.

I have two dogs and one would be fine in a theater and the other would not, it just depends on the dog, but I can really understand why someone would want to take them, I wish I could take mine everywhere. I agree with Chachi, a chewing stick might be a good idea, be careful about giving any theater treats, Yorkies are prone to pancreatitis. Let us know how it goes.

life would be complete if I could take Miley everywhere!! Maybe when she becomes a little more trained. She's definitely going to 2/3 jobs with me once shes potty trained.
