Bringing my dog to the movie theater I know some of the members on here bring their dogs into the movie theater with them. I was wondering if you have any tips for taking your dog in there. Tomorrow I will be taking two of my little cousins and Priscilla to the park to play, and then to the movies. It will be during the day so not to many people will be in the theater at that time. |
I've taken mine to the movies, I have him in a discreet purse carrier. He does really well, no barking or whining. Once we are settled, I have him sitting on my lap and he's content and sleeps through the movie. I started training him right when I got him, so he is very well behaved wherever we go. |
Maybe put something in the carrier she could chew on while the movie is going on |
I know I shouldn't ask...but why would you want to take your dog to the movies? Not trying to be mean just asking? I never took Paris anywhere like that but he was a bigger Yorkie. |
I'm afraid to try to take Cinders into any store in her carrier/ purse. Mine will conceal her, but I know she'll bark at someone. |

The person that asked may have a bigger yorkie an really not understand why you would sneak her into the movies |

I have two dogs and one would be fine in a theater and the other would not, it just depends on the dog, but I can really understand why someone would want to take them, I wish I could take mine everywhere. I agree with Chachi, a chewing stick might be a good idea, be careful about giving any theater treats, Yorkies are prone to pancreatitis. Let us know how it goes. |

I can sneak my jewels into places like that but not my chachi and not just because of his size he would bark or whine |
I don't take Gracie to the movies but if I did I would take her blanket because the AC would bother her. |

My mom snuck Kudos into Wally-World (walmart). He was just a little puppy and he fit in her jacket pocket and he slept!!:) But we never took him to the movies, he would be fine but he likes to be home alone once in awhile and be the MAN IN CHARGE!!!:):):) |
I take Jackson almost everywhere that he is allowed to go, but I don't really see a reason to take him to the movies... I dunno, I just would bring him home first personally. I'm assuming the movie theatre doesn't allow dogs? I would be worried to disappoint the kids if we got kicked out. It would be different if it were like a drive-in, which I don't even know if they exist anymore... lol |

I guess the reason why I want to take her is because the park and movie theater is 45 minutes away from me and I won't have time to take her back home. |
I have taken mine to the movies before. But they both are very good in the bag... I don't make it a habit, because they would rather be at home, but I have done it when we are out of town and staying at a hotel or somewhere that I can't leave them. They come along and I unzip the top of the bag and they just sleep. One time, I had Couv on my lap and he growled at the bad guy on the screen. It was funny, but he's never made any other noises. I just wouldn't make a habit of it. |
I would take Sasha every place I went if it were allowed! My reasoning is because I love her company and she loves going everywhere with me :) |
Roxy and RIP Zoey had been to the movies a few times. They sleep in their carriers. |

Yes she is your dog and you can do whatever you want to but I was just asking. No need to bite my head off. |
i could probably only successfully sneak lola in to a movie...cedric n keylo would not approve and would want out of the bag! ;) they would smell the popcorn a mile away. hehe |
Paris loved going for a ride in the car to pick up my son everyday from school. Even after he lost his sight he would want to go, but it was confusing to him to ride in the car so sometimes we just sat in it in the garage! |
