I think at this point, we've all established our opinions. It doesn't really matter what anyone says, teacup will never be an accepted term in the yorkie world. I liked the comparison someone made of teacups to special needs children. Both are special in their own ways and are not inherently 'bad'. But why purposely breed a dog so small that can be so easily hurt? Even if they are 'healthy', one jump off of the couch could break their legs... Why would you want to do that do a dog? Breeders should be breeding for healthy dogs. If they happen to have a tiny, that's one thing... But to purposely bring litters of tinies into this world is inhumane imo. |

If they limit the dogs, I would suggest no loop holes. I think a limit of 6 would be more than enough. In ohio we get people that have 20+ dogs, uncared for- and not just a few, but many. They're on the news sometimes once a week for a month. It's sad to see. |
