Spaying Today In 90 mins. I drop my little girl off at the vets to get spayed and have her extra teeth removed. She's the 1st in surgery today, so they can watch her in post op longer. My favorite receptionist called me yesterday to say she'll be in the office all day to check on my (our) baby! So I really shouldn't worry, but I do. |
Good thoughts and blessings for Cinders that she has a smooth and easy surgery. |
Thanks! That means a lot to me! |
Praying that all goes well! |
Thank you! |
Sending out prayers and good vibes for Cinders for her spay this morning. |
She's there now- she cried going there, I cried coming home. :(. I hope today goes fast! I miss her already. |

Praying for Cinders for all to go well today and for a speedy recovery. |
I'm sure your baby will be fine. Sounds like she's in very good and caring hands! Give her lots and love and attention when she comes home. In a couple of days, this worrisome time will be a distant memory. Let us know when you get her back. Good luck. Tracey |

It sounds like they're taking good care of her today. Now you take care of yourself. Keep us informed. |
Wishing your angel a speedy recovery. I remember how hard that day was. She will be back in your arms in no time, and this day will be behind you. |
Prayers for little Cinders! I hope you hear soon that all is well. It is always so scary to put our babies through surgery. *HUG* |

Been in your shoes a month a go with Bentley's neutering. No matter how good of care you know they are going to get, it's still not you so you worry. Hope your day goes as good as it can for you. |
Thanks guys! I'm staying as busy as possible! All the kind words help! :) |
My vet called and said Cinders did well with her spay, and the little shark had 7 teeth removed!! I get to pick her up in 4 hrs. They're keeping her to make sure she continues doing well. :) Thanks for all your support! I didn't think I'd be as worried as I was. :) |

Little shark...teehee...growing several rows of teeth, was she?:D Glad she is doing well! |
Awesome news....now comes the hard part.....keeping her from jumping for a couple of weeks! :) |
Yea, she loves to jump! Hopefully she'll stay put beside me for a few days. :) Second row of teeth is now just 1 row! I hope that helps her with eating. Some days she just didn't want to eat. I really think her teeth were bothering her. |

I just saw your post. I'm so glad that Cinders did so well in surgery. Paying for a speedy recovery! |
Update Cinders slept through the night. She was definitely in pain. Every time I moved (she laid on my lap) or she moved, she whined. The pain medicine they gave her didn't wear off until this morning. She walked to go pee on her pad, and sort of ran back to me. Her eyes seem clear this morning too, not drugged looking. No poo yet, but she didn't eat much yesterday. She did drink some water on her own last night, but she won't eat. I'm force feeding her small meals, and she seems ok doing that. (knock wood) They said she was a trooper, and she really did well for her size (2.7 lbs). She met a teapot while in post OP, and they sniffed at each others noses before I took her home. We go back at 9 today to have the surgical wraps removed, and just to be looked over by the vet. They really want to keep their eyes on her. In the special instructions of her post OP papers they wrote- WE LOVE HER! The WORST part was the first 2 hrs. she was home. SHE SHUNNED ME! She gave everyone else tiny kisses, but when I'd put my face near hers, she deliberately turned away! And she seemed to be telling on me- lots of whining to my family after kissing them. They all said, "Yep, she's mad at you!". After she had a nap, and some food, I did get my usual face cleansing kisses! I was so happy! |
Wow, Cinders is little! I am double happy she came through without any problems. :) How old is she? I am wondering because, Tatiana is small and I want to wait as long as possible to have her spay done. I am already dreading it! :( |
