Is your pup a pushy kisser? I took Nikko to my mom's on Christmas Eve. He was happy to see everyone and went totally beserk. Then my uncle came over with my aunt and 2 cousins and he went totally crazy :). He started lunging at everyone and kissing them furiously. If you are sitting on the couch he jumps on your lap and then goes for your face. Its like he wants to lick you all up before you run away from him or something. He is such a pushy kisser!! Does anyone else's baby do this? It was just family and no one really minded (my uncle has 2 dogs of his own) but it would be embarrassing if non-family company were over. He is really just being sweet but how can I get him to take it down a notch? He reminded me of Peppy Le Pew the cartoon skunk that chases the cat. That night he was so excited he made the energizer bunny look like a corpse :D |
My little princess Katie that passed away was a very pushy kisser. She DEMANDED her kisses and would ONLY kiss you on the LIPS! :p I miss that so much. |

Sophie is that way with the people she knows well but not with strangers. It takes her a little while to warm up to people but when she does look out. |

I know that feeling Yep lil bear is a pushy kisser. She will kiss anyone who lets her and some who won't. She knows I let her kiss me on the lip and face and knows my dad does the cheek kisses and my mom likes the cheek and had kisses. Moose on the other hand will only kiss me and occasionally my mom and dad |
oo those kisses...when i get home baby will go nuts if i do not sit down for him to give me kisses he will go nuts..he will start give me kissies on my lips then will not stop until he licks my whole face and if he misses a spot he will come back until hes done a little weird but funny..(scooby (rip) would love to lick my eyes for some strange reason )baby wont kiss anyone else unless you say gimme kissie then he will go crazy :animal36 |
Mine love to give kisses. But I don't like receiving them..lolol..they ususally nibble on a 'tootsie roll' or two before coming to give me a smooch... Regan isn't a very pushy kisser..But you can sure tell she enjoys kisses. She'll really only kiss us on the lips, and when she does kiss us she always does it very slooooowly and she shuts her eyes. She loves making out. xD |
That is so cute and yes, my baby is a very pushy kisser! He just loves to give and get kisses and never gets tired of them. He kisses everyone. When we go to the vet, he kisses them, the groomer, family and friends! I think it is very sweet, but some people don't want kisses and he just can't understand why! :p |
Brutus will climb on your chest when you're sitting and go for the face, lips and hair! He doesn't do it with people he doesn't know though. |

Ooooooh boy, was Macey ever a kisser! On the day we finally brought her home, she spent most of the 2 hour car ride licking my face and hands! Boy do I miss that. I actually really liked her little tongue. It was so little and soft, and wasn't slobbery like other dogs.. I sound kind of scary, I know! |
Joey is an indiscriminate kisser, too! What I should do and what I really do are 2 separate things. I should teach him to sit (or stand, at a minimum) when greeting people. The only time he should be petted by anyone is when he is either sitting or has "four on the floor" - whichever we choose to require. Taffy kisses everyone on the mouth. Not everyone likes it. :) She will give you a complete bath if you let her. |

OMG Jen, Sam and Jennette know this...Coco is a make out queen. She will just put her paws on your cheeks and just go at it with your teeth, your lips, your nostrils. She rolls up her tongue and sticks it in your nose..lol...then she will be a good little dentist and clean your teeth at the first chance you get to say something while she is kissing up on you. It's too cute. My new boyfriend gets kisses in his ear..lol |

My girls are pushy kissers but mostly only with me - Chanel will hold down my face and YELL..."I HAVE to do this MOM - hold STILL !" while Cheri is more of a butterfly kisser but she goes into turbo mode.... Susan is a voracious kisser. She is totally against makeup and tries to strip it off me any chance she gets. She'll be sound asleep and suddenly jump up and kiss me until I can't breathe and then leap away. She keeps my ears scrupulously clean. She cleans my hands, my nose, my ankles, my face, my ears, my teeth, my eyelids. She works diligently at it. She seems to think it's her calling. |
I have one of each!!! Luigi is soo sweet and soo gentle when he kisses!!! He was my 1st, and thats all I knew! Then we rescued Brasco!!! OMG!!!! He kills me!!!! 1st thing in the morning, he wakes up and jumps on my hubby and smothers him with kisses!!! He kisses him all over his face, manages somehow to get his tongue up Ray's nose, then he throws his little body in Rays neck area and smothers him with licks all over his ear and his hair!!! I laugh soooo hard!!! Cracks me up!!! He kisses me too, but not like the way he kisses Ray!!! And the same thing when Ray gets home!!! Its sooo funny!!!! He does the same thing to many of our friends when they come over to visit!!!! But they don't mind!!! Luigi will get you though when you are sitting on the couch!!! He jumps up and gets your face!!!!! |

Nikko - Kissing is not aggressive behavior. It's playful affection... I don't think most people would mind being kissed by a puppy. Certainly wouldn't bother me or most of the people I know. Carol Jean |

Jiggy is a pushy kisser, but at least you guys have pushy kissers who stay on the lips. Jig starts on the lips, moves on to the rest of the face and seems to really enjoy my nostrils (maybe there's treats up there for him). Dawn |
