Lexi is such a doll!! :) Thank you for posting all of the pictures. Jasper has his first grooming on Friday I've been a nervous wreck all week. He looks like the very first picture you posted. But seeing how well her cut turned out makes excited for Jasper to get his done, too. I just hate leaving him there. Is he going to feel like I abandoned him? I know he will be so scared. Ugh I am driving myself nuts. Am I the only one who does/has been this way over grooming? | Oh, you have no idea! I was terrified! I was even considering grooming her myself because I didn't trust anyone! Then, I found out there were grooming services at my vet and I felt a little bit more comfortable. At least, if she fell off the table she would already be at the vet. Terrified I tell you!
I don't know what that vet groomer did to her, but she was soooooo sweet when I picked her up. It was supposed to take 2 hours but it took about 4 1/2. I know she was so patient and that's why it took so long. Lexi loved it. She wasn't shaking when I picked her up and the next time I bathed her she wasn't shaking like usual. She really must have given her the spa treatment after all. But, the grooming part was just OK.
I vowed I would NEVER take her to PetSmart because I hear so many bad things about them. But, while she was at the vet getting groomed I went shopping and, of course, PetSmart was my first stop. There was a Yorkie getting groomed who looked EXACTLY like my Lexi. She looked FABULOUS! And the groomer was so gentle. I got her name and, this time, she did Lexi. I will say, I don't think she was pampered like she was before. She was shaking when I left her and shaking when I picked her up. I HATED that. She was also exhausted on the way home. Ugh! I think it was much more stressful for her than the vet. But, she was cute. And, she didn't have a lump on her head or partially paralyzed! |
