I was really nervous to have Laila on my bed, let alone sleep with her. I got her at 3 months, and probably gave in at about 5 and 1/2 months. It was the best decision I ever made. Laila would cry every time I got in late and woke her up, or every morning when the light shown in. She hated to be alone. Now she sleeps with me in her blanket beside me, quiet as can be, and can literally sleep for 12 straight hours! She has never had a potty accident in the bed, but we have had 2 upset stomach days. I forgave her though, I think we have all had our days! Oh, and I switched beds w/ my sister to be closer to the floor for fear of her falling, and I built a ramp. |
Buddha is 9 weeks and he sleeps in bed with me and my husband... at first I was scared and then when I realized he would move when I did I became less worried. |

Let's all get the straight once and for all. You all sleep in the dogs bed. The big king or queen size bed is for their comfort. You are just allowed to sleep in it for several reasons. They can not jump in or out of the bed and you provide extra warmth at night. The quicker you realize your position in the home the easier it will be for your yorkie to get you trained. LOL |

Dollar sleeps in my bed...has since day one...there has only been a handful of times that he has slpet in his kennel if he is just being really bad. But watch out Dollar has a habit of sometimes peeing in the bed.....GROSS! |
Yup, my Yorkie also snuggles up in bed with me. Once she was fully potty trained she was welcome. Before that she either stayed in a crate by the bed or a blocked off area in the room. I couldnt imagine it any other way and its just odd not having her snuggled up in the bend of my legs. Everytime I move even an inch, she snuggles up even closer to keep warm. |
Our Raven sleeps on the couch in the den - uh, his bed in the den. He did not like sharing a bed with us - he seemed to get hot very easily and moved around alot. Hope sleeps with us - with pillows around her so we don't smush her! |
sleepybye My little one sleeps in her own bed. But she shares the couch we me when we're watching t.v. Taffy has always wanted her own space at night. :) |
rosie has since day one and always will, she cuddles up to my leg and sleeps, if shes not sleeping shes barking lol |
Coco started sleeping in my bed when she became potty trained at 4 months old. She's been happy there since then. Now when my boyfriend sleeps over, she likes to get between us and spoon his face..lol |
My 'not quite 2 lb' Bailey sleeps with me...He is trained to go to a waterproof pad that I keep at the foot of the bed when he has to go pee-pee. For some reason when he has to poo though, he goes down the ramp and into my closet! Then he climbs back up the ramp and into his little square bed that stays up by my pillow...or he'll climb up onto my chest and under the covers. Little devil! |
Are you kidding?!? Toto allows us to sleep in her huge king-sized bed!! We are grateful for the space she lets us occupy!! ;) |
