Not to be gross- but my dog erection is soo gross what the heck is this about? Hi All, I had to ask and see if anyone has experienced this. My yorky Rudy is 2 yrs old he is neutered he sometimes licks himself you know as they all do but today i go and check him out and his pish was soooo huge i never saw it like that sticking out. I had to put him in another room because my kids would have been scared to death. What the heck, has anyone seen this in their dogs. I mean he has had them before but not that big. It was like he looked at me like something was wrong tooo or he was uncomfortable. Any comments feedback Thanks DEE |
You have to make sure that goes down and does not get "stuck" in the out position....it will dry out, he wont be able to retract it and you/he will have MAJOR problems....There must be a reason he is paying attention to this extent....you should have him seen by a vet to get some answers as to what is causing this.... |
Thanks so much why have u known a dog that happened to? just curious he is due for his annual soon so i will ask the vet |
Yes it has happened and there are other threads here about it. I laughed when I read your post, then laughed harder when I saw the few replies... Please keep us posted, I hope all is well... |
Huey did that this morning. Raccoon is now put away for at least a week. I mean, full lipstick as well as the glands below... he kept licking and was walking funny..I had to look. OMG...raccoon is gone! !!!! Nasty little creature:eek::eek:. |
It's happened to me before. Just petting the dog, and I look down and ack! Then I run away. |
LOL! Ok so this is normal, but that big ohmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy thanks denise |
Boys will be boys! LOL |
Hes a horndog |
exactly! |
That happened to my Jake once, a few years ago. (He's now 15.) I had seen his "red rocket" many times, but never the whole song and dance. At first I panicked and that his intestines were coming out. I almost phoned the vet. Went to get the cell phone and when I got back it was retracted. Thank god. I did 'fess up to the vet later and she busted out laughing. |

Yes, especially when I admitted that I thought his guts were "attached" and coming out. #embarrassed I've never seen it since. I think poor Jake was so mortified by Mommy's reaction that he figured it was just easier not to get that excited. |
It can happen - even in neutered males. There may be another reason why he's licking though and that might be causing the protrusion. If it happens again or he's licking down there, I'd have the vet check him out. Good luck. Tracey |
Definitely make sure it can go back down and in, though. Seriously. There is another member who has been dealing with it getting stuck very recently. AllDogBoots is her screen name. Search threads with "Lipstick" in the titles. As long as it is going back down and in by itself, though...I wouldn't worry. :) |

dog You are cracking me up i am laughing while my sick husband is trying to sleep. Jojo my male yorkie better not display that unmentionable or his furbutt goes in the laundryroom for a talk. |

don't feel bad. I took my sam (not a yorkie a Lasha) to the er vet at 4 in the morning. I though he was bleeding or hurt. To explain, he had jumped on our bed and his "area" had hit a wooden slat. (we were moving and had taken the mattress off the bed frame) He yelped really loud but seamed ok.. until he woke me up at 4 in the morning. |

Yes... I posted a while back. Sam was licking himself so much he was having errections. It turned out he had a bladder infection... and that is how we found out he was having kidney problems. Alldogboots -- Karen had an issue also Even though both dogs had excessive licking the causes were very different. If it happens several times it is worth having the cause looked into by a vet. Good luck |
OMGosh, my male is hung like a rhino!! The first time I saw it I was like not beliving my eyes. I called my mentor (I breed yorkies) and ask her about it. She said she had never heard of a yorkie being that big down there. She also said to make sure it goes back in and if not to take the dog to the vet. He is so big that he couldn't breed with some of the girls. I ended up taking one of my girls to my mentor. She bred my girl with one of her studs..he was tiny..kinda funny |
keep the wee wee hair trimmed good that helps, chester has had that problem awhile back as well |
That reminds me of the first time I seen Max. He was a mini-schnauzer. I thought I was going to faint. Didn't know these little guys could be that big. Thats one experience I could pass on. Ekkkkk! |
