Do You Want to Guess Bentley's Adult Weight? ;)
 
We just got back from the vet for his second round of vaccines!! He's a very healthy boy YAY!! And he didnt cry this time :rolleyes:

So at 12 Weeks he's 3 lbs !! How much did your baby weigh at 12 weeks and how much when adult? I know there's not a method that's 100% accurate but just to have an idea how big my baby is going to be! Thanks!! :)

You know, I really don't remember what Lucy weighed at 3 months! Maybe 2-something? She stopped at 6.3 lbs. She gained several more ounces between the time she was spayed (7 months) and now.

I remember she did most of her noticeable growing between 6 months and 1 year. But I've heard that some yorkies continue to grow after a year old too.

What were his parents' weights? That may be a better guide. Also, if your breeder has dedicated lines, then he/she could ball park it for you.

Toki was 3.1 pounds at 10 weeks and is a little less than 8.5 pounds currently at 1 year 9 months :)

At 12 weeks Jasper weighes 1 lb 5 oz. He will be 5 months old on Tuesday. I know hes not an adult, but he has slowed down on how fast he was putting on weight like he was at first. Plus, he has also not been eating large portions like he was. He weighs 3 lbs 2 oz as of 5/31. His body has gotten long and his legs are long, too. But when I check his ribs, everything feels as it should.

Jasper has plenty of time to fill in! Although he's small!

morgan weighed 3 lbs at 12 weeks and at 2 years he weighs 7.8 lbs

The weight chart says Bentley's adult weight should be between 6 and 6.5 pounds. Bella weighed 3 pounds at 12 weeks too, and she weighed 4 pounds at 16 weeks.

the rule of thumb is to double the weight at 12 weeks.

I am not so sure if I remember Remy's weight.. but her parents were 5 lbs. and she charted to be under 4 lbs and now at 3 years she is a little over 5 lbs.

My guess he will be between 5 /12 to 7 lbs.... that is just a guess and it is a big range.

I was/am hoping he will be on the higher end of the standard at 6. His mom was 5.5 and his dad was 3. So who knows. I sure hope you're right and he fills out though.

What is Bentleys body shape like?

The size of a yorkie has so many factors that figure into their adult weight. Grandparents & parents size, bone structure, height, activity level, food/treats etc. Tatiana was also 1.6 at 12 weeks and she is now 24 weeks and weights 2.3 lbs give or take a couple of ounces. She is on the short side with a petite frame. So even thought she was about the same weight as Jasper @ 12 she's about 1 pound less at this point in time. It just depends on so many factors! I would estimate 6-7 pounds!

Oscar was 4 lbs at 12 weeks , now 9 lbs at 1 yr & almost 9 months..:)

6-7 pounds for Bentley! I would estimate Jasper to be more in the 4-6 lbs range....just depends on when he stops growing in height & length! How tall is Jasper?
