We rented an older house for a while when our Yorkie Charlie was still alive. We had a few weird experiences and my husband always had legitimate excuses. We could say to Charlie, "Where's the ghost?" and he would just start staring at different points in the room and then slowly move his head until he was looking right above the person who asked. It was a great way to freak out visitors. |
I swear Bentley senses a ghost in my condo. Since we got him 7 weeks ago we have been living with my boyfriend but about once a week, I will go over to my condo. Everytime we are there he goes into what was my daughters room and goes crazy barking at the closet. I wonder if he senses that her dog lived in the room with her, or he senses my cat that I put down last year. I bought my condo from the daughter of a woman who passed, I don't know if she passed in the condo or not. If she did that could explain why he freaks out there. I believe that he can see or sense something that I can't. |
My dogs have jumped up and barked at something in the room before too. We look and don't see anything, but we swear they DO see something. Our house is nearly new too, so nobody else has ever lived there. But my mother-in-law passed away in January, so we think they MAY be seeing her??? I guess we'll never know for sure. |
I really think that animals just hear and smell things we don't so we don't think they are reacting to anything. With that said, the pic of the cat and boxer is crazy wild. lol |
My friend's dog was staying with me for a weekend a year ago. All of a sudden he started following something with his head across the living room and growling at it ... He stood up like he was afraid and kept growling. Then he laid down and started whimpering. It was so weird and scared me! I thought it could be a bug or something but I didnt see anything. Plus he would try to play with bugs when we went outside, not growl at them. The whimpering was what really scared me. If it was just the growling I would think maybe he heard something outside, but why would he cry? Hmmmm |
I am convinced it happens. Have seen it happen first hand when I was 13. When my grandfather was in the hospital dying he promised on his way home when he got discharged he would stop by and see our new house that he had not seen yet. That evening after he died, our Lhasa Opso was laying in the living room and all of a sudden his head popped up and he was acting like he was watching someone or some thing walk in the front door, through the living room and into to the dining room. As soon as what ever/ who ever was out of sight he laid his head back down and let out a sigh. To this day I am convinced it was my grandfather walking around the house looking at it like he promised. |
