Biewer? On the web site it seems the Biewer/Yorkie breeder is in Anaheim. The pups are cute! Are there any Biewer moms or breeders in SoCal who know of the breeder? |
I am not familiar with Brewers at all. The ones on the web site look to be purebred but the pic in the orig. post shows a spotted belly. Does anyone know if that is a Brewer trait ? She's a darling pup and like most Yorkie's there are some that struggle with the ears going up. Either because they have too much hair or the ear themselves are too thick. If the hair was shaved they may go up but that is hard to say without really seeing her in person. My guess is that at 10 months old and her ears are not up they wont be up, shaves ears or not. |

Then again, if she were a reputable breeder, she would have chosen who she sells her pups to more carefully, and this person would have been more honest to return the pup to the breeder, instead of trying to sell her instead. |

And many Biewers DO have spotted skin, much like a dairy cow. |
She is a darling pup, but $550 is steep for re-homing a pet, un-spayed, no matter what the breed. What about health? I agree that if this pup came from a reputable breeder, the breeder would be very upset to learn she is being sold on Craigslist unspayed. :( I would love for you to get her so that she doesn't end up being used to breed by a bad person. Best wishes in making your decision. |
I don't like how the breeder offers stud services for $600. Anyway, I think I Wuv Yorkies, you really need to contact this breeder and find out if in fact this puppy is one of his. I don't believe a word this person in Palmdale is saying. |
She is a doll though. I don't know much about biewers except they're really pretty. |
I have emailed the breeder and will let you know what they say. |
i wuv yorkies....if you really want a biewer pup i urge you to check out the lady i got mine from...she's not a huge breeder just has a few dogs and she's far away in WV but my dog's sister went to a lady in florida who flew here to pick her up and take her home.... and living in WV she's very very reasonable :) |
Thalia has a spotted belly. It reminds me of my Bichon growing up :) |
It looks like a morkie. Teddy's littermate looks exactly like that. Especially the fourth picture. |
Teddy's littermate is 9 months old |
Biewers do have spots. On my Bogie his hair is dark where the dark spots are on his skin and where his white hair grows his skin is pink. Lisa (sugarmamma) little Curri Bee Is spotted like a little calf. I know because I picked her up from the breeder for her. You have been given lots of great advice. I for sure would contact the person this lady says is the breeder. The main pic in the ad this pup does look like a biewer but its hard to say for sure. The rehome fee sounds a little steep. Bogie is a rehome and I paired to have him neutered and there wed no other fees involved. Good luck in your search and the perfect baby is out there for you. |
I am not familiar with the Biewer yorkies, but by looking at pictures of the biewers, I don't think she is pure which I hope I am wrong she is beautiful either way! and also I don't think Biewers are suppose to have spots on their tummy. I agree with the rehoming fee is to high and I would be afraid she maybe pregnant hence why she isn't spayed and I hope im wrong again. I think she is beautiful though and she looks sweet! |
I am not an expert on Biewers so keep that in mind with my response. The cute little doggie in the pics you posted just doesn't look like a Biewer to me. That doesn't mean she wouldn't be a fantastic pet, but you certainly don't want to purchase from someone who is not being honest. It might help if you studied the Biewer standard - here are a couple of links: Biewer Terrier Standard biewer standard - Yahoo! Image Search Results Your Biewer Resource - Biewer Standard |
