i don't get it... If I were a breeder and appeared to be attached to my pups when they left with the forever parents....wouldn't I be happy to get pictures and updates once a month on how that pup is coming along? Now, I only ask this because I sent my 3rd update on Jasper to his breeder on Thursday along with the cute picture that's in his album with his Hawaiian shirt on. She never replied. The last was a month ago it was "okay thanks". Now the first time was right after his first vet check 3 days after we picked him up and she was really happy to hear how good he did those first couple of nights, let her know how he comes along, etc., etc. I will not be sending her anymore updates. I guess I'm just thinking "out loud". But breeders does it bother you or get on your nerves to hear how your pups are doing? Thanks for all who read this. I guess my feelings are hurt, because I thought she cared more about him. I don't know...now I'm rambling. |
That is strange.. maybe she just has a lot going on?? Who knows. I know breeders love to see update pictures on their Yorkies they have sold. I would never think you would get a response like that, unless the breeder wasn't what they claimed to be.. |
I don't know. I wanted her to see and hear about how smart and awesome he is....knowing that he came from her litter. But you're right...maybe she has a lot going on. She may have a new litter coming soon. Never jump to conclusions, right? :) |

I had a similar response from one of my pups breeders. I just stopped emailing her pictures because of a lack of a response. She was awesome in the beginning but as the months have passed she stopped responding. Oh well, it is her loss to see that one of her pups is being raised in a very loving home! |

I understand how you must feel. I think that would hurt my feelings too. My Oscar is almost 2 years old and i have sent pics and little stories about Oscar to his breeder since the day I brought him home. I know she really enjoys them... |

I may not respond promptly - given what-ever is going on in my life; but I will respond. Your breeder should always care about the current and future health of her puppies. That information is critical for a good breeder in making future breeding decisions. |
See I would be like you guys...that pup has bonded you in a small way. Well, that's okay. I have met some here who will love my baby, too!! :) |
As a breeder, I love hearing fron my babies, getting pics and all little news stories and updates....most of mine contact me at least 4 times a year....this has been going on since 2002......I love hearing from my "kids". They all contacted me when Ike hit...telling me where they were, and everyone of them had left the area, and they were all safe and did not want me to worry!!! |
