Darlene I am so sorry for your loss. You did everything you could for your little Joey. He is over the rainbow bridge playing with the rest of our lost friends. My thoughts and heart go out to you. ((((((( hugs )))))))

Darlene, I am so very sorry for your loss. Little Joey was special to so many people here. He has taken a piece of our hearts with him to heaven.

I woke up this morning and read the bad news. I'm so sorry for your pain. He truly must have been sicker than most of us wanted to believe, and it appears now that your little Joey may have something else going on inside his little body. It does disturb me that your were sold a puppy with tape worms. No puppy should have to be burden and deprived the nutrients that these worm suck out of a puppy. If it was a liver shunt, well the poor litter guy was doomed from day one. In either case, it's the mother that passes these conditions on to her puppies. If I was this breeder, I'd get all my ducks in a row, by firstly making sure my breeding females, and males where free of tape worms. A simple worming with Virbantel every so often, but especially before the moms are to be bred at least is a step in the right direction to rid her dogs of unwanted visitors. If the mother of Joey carries the gene for liver shunt, she should never be bred again. I know this might not be the best time to mention these things, but when my mind is troubled I dig for answers. Again, I so so sorry for the pain you're feeling right now.

I have been following your story too. It made me cry at tikes kust thinking about poor Joey. But at least he is not suffering anymore even though we all would like him to make it. God puts examplrs like these to make people relize the importance of doing your research find a reputable breeder, so others won't have to go through this pain as well. We all love you and wish you the best

I know with each of my Yorkies how quickly they stole my heart, and that love intensifies so much when there is a period when we have to nurse them back to health. There is a roller coaster ride of emotions as they take one step forward towards health and another step back. We don't know the warm embrace of holding little Joey, and we are heartbroken about his loss and for you, too. I understand the pain you feel, and I'm so sorry for that and for also your loss. Love never does, and you will carry little Joey in your heart forever. Please know that I care and offer you my deepest condolences and support. :rose40:
