Strange things happen... This is so weird. I've had Haley, my sweet little craigslist teapot girl for two years. The little girl that gave her to me said she slept in bed with her, but often had accidents and her father was angry...hence the ad on craigslist.:( . Anyway she is just a sweetie. She has slept in bed with me for over two years now and is iron-clad reliably wee pad trained. So, along comes Pim....my second unexpected craigslist baby given to me in a Walmart parking lot by a woman and her two year old baby in a very desperate situation. Pim and Hay immediately greet without a grumble. Not one! They have both been in my lap together off and on since yesterday noon when Pim came home. I decided to try to crate Pim tonight because she kept me up most of last night and had a couple of piddle accidents. Now the weird part...I brought an old crate that I'd gotten at a nearby rescue home today and gave it a good bleaching. I put the crate in my room, facing my side of the bed. We went outside to do one last potty. I call Hay to come up to bed with me...it's time to play on the Ipad..Pim follows. Haley proceeds to go straight into the crate, and doesn't come out. Pim follows her in. So, I shut the door...shocked. Within thirty seconds they are both asleep! This is HALEY! The girl that can't stand to not be touching me! She's happily sleeping in a crate with a dog she met yesterday...and I've never even thought she would tolerate crating much less enjoy it! I cannot believe this. There was obviously a space in both these little nomad lives when a crate meant love and security. It's just unbelievable. |
Amazing and now they find love and comfort with each other too! Thank you for opening your heart and home to them :) |
Awwww you got stood up. Lol |
How sweet! I'm happy to hear that they love each other. Sounds like Haley wants to comfort Pim. |
:) Haley has a mother instinct and she's going to take good care of Pim! Adorable! Grats on your new addition too! |
That is cutest thing, They are cuddle buddies. God is so good how he works things out:) |
It's so nice to hear that they are getting along so well :) |
so sweet :) |
So happy to learn you have given a loving home to another little one. What a relief that they are little soul mates so soon. |
That is awesome! |
Thank you all so much! I think you're right, Hay wants to care for her. :) It is so very sweet. Pim is tiny..like a little long legged, half hairless yorkie. She is probably about 4.5 lbs. She is completely bald on her chest and belly, as well as behind her ears and on the backs of her legs. Years ago I had a chocolate chihuahua that was the same way...some recessive gene. I wonder if she has it too. Yes, they are doing fantastic. On top of all of this, she loves my seven year old grandson! I mean LOVES him! Showers him with kisses and rubs her little head under his chin for lovins. So sweet!:aimeeyork |
So nice. |
AWWW how sweet. Just make sure you take the new one to Vet for a complete check up, to make sure she isn't bringing anything into the house. Not sure if the people gave you any Vet Records for her not. Bless you for taking in another sweet baby. |
Good point. I don't have physical records yet, but I have contacted the vet the woman said she was treated at. He did say she was a patient there, but has to wait to release more information. She has a large visible spay scar, so I know she's been vaccinated at least 1st year shots. I dont know of any vets in NH that will spay w/o utd vaccs...so perhaps the preliminaries are done. The rest is a mystery. |
thank for giving that little guy a home. it is so sweet how they get along |
