| Scam??? I responded to an ad on a local website for a yorkie puppy, this is the email I got back..doesn't sound right??!! Hello, I am more than happy and now convinced that your home will be that perfect home that will treat my baby like a princess which she really is. I just can't wait to see pictures of you and her once she get to your house. The baby will be coming to your home with all it's health papers, playing toys, a baby bed and all it's accessories since. I currently live in Harrison-burg, Virginia 22802. as i did relocated due to my job schedule, so i could just arrange for the baby to be delivered over to your home, it will take some few hours for the baby to be delivered to your home. There's is no need to worry about the cost of registering the baby because i am going to pay for that all you are to pay is just for the delivery charges of the baby to your home and their transfer of ownership documents from our names to your names which is going to cost you $350 upfront, before the baby will be delivered over to your home. So all which i need from you now is your full delivery information since i shall be using them to register the baby for delivery over to your home, the details will be needed as follows, FULL NAMES CITY STATE HOUSE ADDRESS MOBILE NUMBER LAND LINE NUMBER ZIP CODE Once you have provided your full delivery details, i shall get the baby registered for delivery, once am done with the registration the delivery agency will get in contact with you on how they delivery shall be done. they shall contact you via email or on phone to notify you that the baby has been registered for delivery over to your home. they shall also give you directives on how the payment shall be made okay. so all you need to do is stay at home and wait for the delivery agency to contact you. they will need to confirm payment first because they will need to activate the baby's flight ticket, and once they confirm these payment they shall proceed with the delivery of your baby okay. thanks and i look forward to have you full delivery details so i can get the baby registered okay BEST REGARDS |

| No, it doesn't sound right. If you can't visit the seller and see the puppy (and parents, if available) and pick it up in person, then don't waste any more time with this. |

| Yes, another scam email. Please never send money to anyone whom you cannot verify actually lives at a specific address (By the way, there is no hyphen in Harrisonburg, VA, another clue this is not legit). If I were buying a puppy, I would insist on visiting the breeder's home. When that is not possible (perhaps because of distance) I would want to see a website, verifiable address information, and some other means to prove a person is a legitimate and good breeder. These types of emails usually come from foreign countries and they take your money and run.

| It's a scam. I wonder why they keep using the same ol tactics? Boring to keep reading the same ol tired words. Never EVER pay for a pet or for shipping before seeing the pet in person. I had a friend who paid for a Yorkie on line and paid for the shipping. The puppy did make it ok, but it was not the one she picked out. The people would not take it back, so she sold it herself. So sad for that puppy!! Remember...........buyer beware!!!

| Read it - "delivered over to your home" and so many other dead giveaway phrases that this person is foreign, likely overseas right now and definitely isn't a doglover. For your $$$ and your trouble, you'll get nothing but an ulcer.

| Scam. Poor grammar, saying they recently moved and using the word delivery or shipped many times is a common tell tale sign. They used the word delivery 14 times as they have to point out that delivery is the only option because they know if you insist on coming there they are out of their scam.

| Guess where I am right this minute? Yup, Harrisonburg VA. We came to spend the weekend with my granddaughter for her birthday. Tell the scammer that your friend (and courier) is willing to be pick up the puppy for you. If he is for real (he isn't), I really will pick up the pup, and we'll figure out a way to get it to you. Others here will vouch for me that I am trustworthy. You were smart question this email. I don't believe the crook, but it might be fun to string him along.
