The thing ALL my dogs get, is milk thistle....it helps the liver clear their system from toxins. I feel better giving it to them...and I have done so for years. These babies are exposed to sooo many toxins. This sounds like a great idea,I would be interested to hear more about how much and in what form the milkthistle is. OP,Mina is treated just as my children were treated. She is watched by me when outside. I tell people that think I am the crazy overprotective mom person " an ounce of prevention is so much easier and cheaper" than not watching them. |
I think while we should be protective of them, however, we do have to let them be dogs. Brandi and I walk everyday (weather permitting). She loves being outside sniffing, running and playing in the grass. They are dogs and as much as we want to humanize them, they will never be humans. We just have to do our due diligence and ensure that they are safe. The other I want to mention is because I take Brandi out everyday, she knows our neighborhood and how to get home from certain points. She actually got out of the house one time. It was at least a half-hour before I even noticed it. I was having work being done on my house and was talking to one of the contractors. Of course when I panicked and went to look for her as soon as I called her name she came running. She didn't go very far. I was lucky but I believe because she knows her neighbhorhood, and the fact that she is not allowed to cross the streets unless I say so may have help to save her life and contributed to her not going to far away from the house. |
I was wondering about exercise? I know Princess Sophie gets the crazies and will run and run and run around in circles inside our house, even just in the den but when she goes outside she just flies around the yard, looking like her feet never touch the ground, and that's after being walked! LOL |
Jasmin gets lots of exercise inside the house. We pretty much tailor our house a little to her. We have a big open basement which we play fetch it. We have two living room. One is completely empty just for her to run around in. |
Ours really dont spend alot of time in our yard but we take them to parks and walk them and they love it. Yorkies can be totally indoor dogs though they get enough exercise inside the house. If I had a super tiny yorkie it would be an indoor dog because I dont think they would be able to keep up with walks anyway but what do I know I dont have a tiny. I just know the short walks I take mine on wear them out and sometimes chachi comes home limping so I dont even take mine on long walks and they are 7 1/2 and 14 lbs |
