That is so sad. I hope the puppy is ok. Maybe with your friends loving care she can pull through. Does your friend hava any experience with tiny puppies? |
ignorant no she has no knowledge the breeder should be shot |
I hope that baby will be ok |
That is so sad. I hope the baby will be ok. |
That is sooo sad! That poor little puppy needs to be with its mom! I just can't imagine getting a puppy that small! I hope your friend takes it back so it can be healthy! |
I just can't see how the breeder could be so heartless to her little ones. They need their mommy so much for just a little longer. |
That is so sad, not only for the new owner, but that poor little pup will have such a struggle to survive! I hope this breeder is arrested for her selfish act! I hope the poor little puppies make it! How sad. |

So she said she was going to go ahead and drive and purchase a baby at 1 lb at 5 1/2 weeks from a breeder in kentucky. The breeder said she would release the baby. I tried to tell her but she was adamant she was getting a christmas puppy and was gong to do it. Poor baby, and the baby has no guarantees. Hope she makes it. |
There are so many ignorant breeders and ignorant puppy buyers who have NO idea what they're doing - they just see cute and small and have the "I want it NOW" syndrome.... the breeders who are entrusted with those poor babies care only see DOLLARS SIGNS ...I agree - they reallly SUCK ! |
I think in California its against the law to sell a puppy under the age of 8 weeks. ( One of California's many laws that I had to agree with... ) |

why are you saying, "sick little guy"? Is it because of his weight? ceeby was eight weeks old, looked younger but carried himself older. he only weighed nine ounces and has done great. if your friend is happy and the pup is just small, not actually sick, help your friend learn all you can about yorkies and be there to mentor him. Forgive me if I missed something in your post about why you think it is sick. All I can see is that you think it's sick because of it's weight. |
In MD the minimum age to take a puppy from the breeder is 8 weeks. That is still too young!! A person in Annapolis sold a bunch of Westie and something mixes. The puppies were under 6 weeks. They had to be taken to the vet..the vet reported them to SPCA or Animal Control and the puppies were taken along with the mom to be properly cared for til the person paid fines ad the puppies were the legal age. Unfortunately, the mom was not spayed so probably many more babies will be produced...Sick bas++++s!! |
breeder he is not eating well he is having potty issues he is way to small to be away from his mom an he is not healthy looking he ask like he has no energy at this point i think they are both stupid i wanna take this baby an run so bad but i cant |
Thats so sad, I hope the puppy will be ok. Did your friend have a Vet check yet? We will keep him in our prayers. |

I'm very  to hear this ... What a heartless (well I let you fill in the the rest).. A person like this does not need to own any animals period. Poor little puppy..I believe what goes around ,come around .. We may not see it happen ..but I believe she will get her's in the end. I'm Sorry Red... I PM'ed you...Sherry |
I read often - a lot of people justifying getting very young puppies (less than a pound - 1 or 2 pounds, etc.) because they had one and everything worked out okay. This is not a good reason to encourage other people to do the same, or even suggest that with proper care, etc, everything will be fine.. You should still advise people to follow good guidelines -- 8 weeks is the very youngest - 10 to 12 weeks is much better. A little puppy deserves to be with its mother and litter mates until it is weaned, eating well, and gaining weight on his own. This is a joyful warm time and an important time for a puppies development. Carol Jean |

Can you get your friend to report her and see if something good can come out of that poor babys death? It sounds like this is an ongoing thing and maybe others can be saved if someone starts taking action against these people who let these tiny little yorkies go so young and so small. I'm so sorry. |

Sounds like Hypotglycemia TO ME. These bvabies need to stay with mom at least 12 weeks if she will let them also need lots of nutri-cal. a lot of your smnaller yorkies suffer this . Sorry to hear your friend lost her beloved baby. they need to eat at least 5-6 meals a day. and give nutri-cal morning and nite for a couple days aftewr taking home anbd when you see signs of low blood sugar. |
breeder he did have low sugar i am sick over this i feel so bad i am reporting her i am sick of seeing stuff like this happen. |

Weight and Health! I bought my boy and he weighed 1.1lbs He was very small!! I almost didn't get him because he made me nervous. His brother who looked about the same weight, weighed in at 9oz!! I refused to take him, but only becasue I already had 1 adult and a 3 month old puppy at home. The first thing I did was run him over to the vet. He was fine and healthy. I'm not saying that people should run out and buy a small puppy, No, you shouldn't. But if the puppy is at the least 10 weeks old and is vet checked from the breeder's vet and your own vet I don't think it is a bad thing!! Healthy is the way to go and what to worry about, not the weight!! ;) Lets not fight and lets not point fingers... Its Christmas! :p Oh by the way, this is only my opinion!! |

Good for you that is the thing to do..heopfully she will have to pay ....sorry to hear about the little guy.... |
I think the puppy will be okay if the owner takes good care of him and makes sure he does not have low blood sugar. The woman I bought my yorkie from told me that she was 12 weeks old but the vet told me she was only about 6 weeks old. It was lucky that I did not work so I had time to keep my eyes on her 24/7 and gave her Nutrical every time she showed sign of low blood sugar. I was also told that she would be about 3 or 3 1/2 lbs when full grown. She is now 25 months and weighs 8.25 lbs. However, I am very lucky that she is a very healthy little dog and has a beautiful face because the way her head and face hair grows. |
