| Bit the bullet on pet insurance I finally found a coverage I was comfortable with to be able to do right by Bentley and get him coverage. Well I guess actually more like right by me. With some of these illness and injury threads I have been following and praying for it got me to thinking. After the initial thought of I would be devastated if it happened to my baby I got to thinking about costs. Yes I have a wonderful vet with great prices but just one wrong injury or illness no telling what charges would be. Found good coverage and made sure that congenital issue were covered and only a 15 day waiting period so I breath a sigh of relief. I pray I never need it but at least I have that piece of mind.

| I went with a puppy policy with Embrace. Puppy Insurance, Health Insurance for Vet Bills | EMBRACE I got the middle of the road $5000 per year, $500 deductible 20% copay. They have a 15 day wait on injury and illness. 60 day on orthopedic, but they offer a "orthopedic report card." After you enroll you can take your dog to your vet for an orthopedic exam (no xrays required) and they have a simple 3 criteria check box form that if all 3 are within normal limits the reduce the orthopedic coverage waiting period to 15 days as well.

| Others I looked at were 30 days on illness and not all of them covered congenital issues too. This one does. What ever you go with read the fine print, especially if they sell a bunch of addons.

| Yes, I know the area you are talking about. I miss Freehold. I'm actually wearing my Sorrento's Subs T-shirt today so I'm extra homesick.

| How long have you been out of Jersey? I would think Virginia is beautiful especially this time of year. I really don't know much about Freehold other than approximately where it is. Does your Bentley have a middle name? |

| I'm old lol I've been out of NJ since 88. I was about 19 when my family relocated. I was a daddy's girls so could not bare not moving with my parents. There are some really great places in VA. I just think Danville is a bit backwards and old boys club. lol Bentley's registered name is Master Bentley BA. (BA stands for Bad ......um....butt lol) I tend to call him lots of things depending on his or my mood. Turd Rocket if he's extra naughty lol and I don't mean because he's had an accident. That name just came out one day and it stuck. Bentley Boo or Bentley Boo Boo if we are playful/loving mood. Call him baby when he's sleepy.

| Yea, I do the same, of all the pets I ever had, the given names had morphed into something totally different and my pets have always had middle names too. People, especially my kids think I am crazy but oh well who cares. My boyfriend, and I and his daughter all tried to agree on a name while we were driving to PA to pick him up and we really liked Bentley, or Bradley Cooper, or Jim wanted Beamer. When we got him we realized he looked like a Bentley and driving home I texted my daughter his picture and she agreed he looked like a Bentley so Bentley James Ryan was born. lol |
