| yorkes used to wearing clothes! I just bought my lil Bentley a new t-shirt from spoiled yorkies. It has lil sailboats on it and it is absolutly adorable. But theres only one problem he hates it! He wont move with it on and sits their and whines! I also got him a harness and Im not positive on if I put it on right so any tips on that would be great but he doesnt like that ethier. But he needs to get used to it cause he def doesnt like a collar and leash and plus the harness is better for them anyway. So if you could share with me some tips on how to get your yorkies used to clothes and harness that would be great! Thanks a bunch! |

| the 1st time i put a sweater on Lefty he look at me like "are yOu serious?" and just flopped on the floor and didn't even attempt to move until i took it off!!! when i took it off, he was up and running around the house as usual. at 1st i was a lil sad cause i thought he'd hate shirts and sweaters forever, but a couple days later on the 2nd try he was FINE!!! i think clothes are just a thing that they have to try out a few times and they'll get used to it. we're still havin problems with the harness and leash though. i walk him around the house with it to get him used to it and all he wants to do is bite on it and play with it. ~Cielo

| Some yorkies take a little time to get used to wearing clothes, and others just dont get used to it at all..they hate it. I have two females,Lady (15 months old and 2lbs) loves her cothes, infact, she apreciates them when its cold..it didnt take her long to get used to wearing them so I am able to dress her up and enjoy BUt Jessie (10 months and almost 9lbs) will NOT wear anything! We have tried getting her used to the whole procedure just like we did with Lady, but she hasnt got used to it and weve realised that it stresses her out and upsets her..so basicly we leave her alone and respect that she is just not that kind of yorkie. She also refuses to wear bows or anything in her hair. Some yorkies end up enjoying being dressed and the attention they get from it,and others just dont..it all depends on the yorkie |

| My puppie doesn't like the sweaters either. I put one on him at least once a week so he will get used to it. He doesn't like his harness either but I walk around the house with him in it once a day and hes starting to get used to it. Just make sure it fits right and walk him right at your side, no slack and he will begin to get used to it too.
