Worried about Bentley and his Grand-Human I get a call from my dad this morning telling me not to bring Bentley over for doggie daycare today. My mom woke up hemmorraging and he was taking her to the ER. This is the first time in well over a month that Bentley has been home all day. Usually I restrict him to just his puppy apartment with a play yard attached to it. Today I blocked everything off leaving his access to his play yard and the hall. I felt so bad, Bentley was waiting patiently at the gate waiting for me to put his harness and leash on him to take him to the grand-humans. :( So I'm here at work waiting on news about my mom worried about her and also worried about my baby being home alone today. |

Thanks. Still waiting on test results. I'm here at work, because my parents don't want me to miss work because of them. I would have ignored their wishes except we are one man down today. |
I'm sure Bentley will be ok, but I understand how you feel!!! Your mom however sounds rough, I hope their is good news with her testing. |

I am sorry about your Mom and will be praying for her. I am sure Bentley is fine. Georgie goes to his grandparents when I go into the office but on occasion stays home and much to my surprise the first time....he was just fine upon my return:) |

I'm leaving work at 2 because my oldest has an orthodontist appointment that my parents were going to take her to. Think I'm going to swing by home and get Bentley before heading up to the schools to pick my girls up. The girls can wait a few extra minutes before I get them. ;) Only update so far on mom is that her regular doctor has ordered her blood thinner be stopped(no brainer). They are waiting on ultrasound results before talking to her gyn. |
Well they released her from the ER. Talked to mom she sounded good. Waiting on an appointment with her doctor. I hate that hospital and I worked there for 14 years. Getting worse instead of better. Will be slipping out of the office in about 40 minutes or so to snatch up Bentley from home real quick before picking up the kids. |
Bentley may well sleep all day when he's home alone. Even with DH home all day with them, Brody and Mia tend to sleep most of the day. They need their rest for when Mommy comes home! Otherwise, they might tire out from bouncing, dancing, and spinning! :D I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I hope everything is okay. :) |

Prayers will go out for your mom. I'm so sorry. Bentley will be just fine.......maybe a little lonely, but he will be safe. Just a couple of safe toys, a beef femur bone and water, along with bed and blankie and keep the TV on cartoons for him. ;) |

Mom thanks you all for your well wishes and prayers. She will be following up with her doctor tomorrow afternoon to see what steps to take next. As for Bentley. Oh boy, I'll post a picture later, I'm at my parents right now. Not sure how he did what he did but he managed a Houdini and left evidence. lol I was showing mom some pictures of lots of the YT babies. It put a smile on her face. :D |

Sorry to hear of the awful day you and your family have had. Having worked in a large clinic for many years I can identify with how you feel about the lower standards of care. I guess your little guy decided he was not putting up with you leaving without him. Poor guy probably thought you forgot him! |

1 Attachment(s) Ok so here is what Bentley managed to do while I was at work. I use his puppy apartment to block off the living room area between the sofa and loveseat. When I got home about 2pm he was sitting right at the gate that keeps him away from the front door. I look in his puppy apartment and see his pad gone. It was pulled out the back side of the apartment into the LIVING ROOM.:eek: He can't jump up on the arm of the couch it's just a hair too high, but he has no issue with jumping up on the front of the couch and then jumping off the arm. All I can imagine is him crawling on his belly like a Navy Seal on the beach at midnight so he could manage to squeeze under the corner of the couch. :yelrotflm Then just jumped up on the couch and then off the arm to be back where he was supposed to be. Attached is the evidence. You will notice on the sides you can see the corner of both the couch and loveseat. He is such a stinker. |

I'm so glad your mom is better and I hope tomorrow's doctor appt. goes well. I can't believe Bentley escaped - that s so funny! I think Charlie has some Houdini in him too!! I found him on a table that backs to my sofa...?? I have no idea how he got up there! Was just so happy I saw him before he fell off and hurt himself! He's a confident little fellow! :-) Please update us on your Mother when you can. |

She was so thankful when we told her there were lots of wonderful YT members praying for her and wishing her well. Nothing beats the power of prayers. Well except maybe kisses from a loyal friend. :animal36 The moment I met my grandhumans I knew they would be a special part of my life like they have been for my mommy all these years. They are the bestest grandhumans in the world. I may follow my grandpa-human like a shadow all day, but when I want to snuggle I know it's grandma-human I want to snuggle with. They both take such good care of me while mommy is at work. Mommy will keep you posted on how things are going and again my entire family says thank you.
