I have a Suburban, and it has a Center Console which has a depression in it for Maps or other items. I can just lay a Towel down in the space, which lets one of my guys sit right beside me, while the other two fight for prime/forward location on the passengers side. (I rarely have anyone ride with me) I have three spare Leash's permanently tied in, and never allow my guys to ride without being secured from being thrown forward should I have to do an emergency stop. |

I would Definetely recommend that you buy one that's sturdy & has the harness/leash set up in case you are in a car accident. a little Pomeranian from my town flew from the back seat and hit the windshield when the owner was forced to slam on her breaks! so scary and it happens all the time! |

This was our problem as well. At a few months of age and beyond, P-Nut was able to pull apart the bottom of the pen from the Velcro and get out. So, we bought a plastic sided play pen with no soft parts and no bottom - it's worked great for over a year. Re: car seats, we LOVE love love the Snoozer Lookout II Car Seat. It's so comfy P-nut wants to be in it all the time whether we're going anywhere or not. |
I have a car seat I love, from petsmart.com it's a square padded square that has two straps, one hangs it from headrest the other goes around the seat and clips. It also has a clip to keep him from jumping out. It is high enough so he can look out the side window or front windshield and he loves it. The airbag is off when he is in it for his safety. Don't have the brand, sorry, but there are lots of them, about $25. |
