I just had to jump in here for two reasons; First, my hubs puppy is now 13 weeks old and absolutely adorable. He has short little legs, a great puppy coat, is small but healthy, strong and active. That's the thing, he loves to give kisses and wants to be around us ... for at least a minute, but after that we can forget it. He is so different from my two older puppies in that he doesn't like to be held, or sit in my lap or cuddle ... he just wants to run, play, aggravate, and do his own thing. In fact, he's so head strong that I started training him today just to "stand" so I can check him out. He's my little tiny juvenile delinquent. Based on the puppy personalities of my first two Yorkies, I would totally want the first puppy you described, the one that likes to cuddle and be connected to its people. :) Now my second reason for posting; Please don't buy a puppy from a breeder that will not let you come to their home or kennel. RED flags are waving high for so many reasons! :( As for the puppies, they are both cute puppies, but then again most all puppies are cute in one way or another. Right? ;) |
They both are adorable.. I noticed number two has a white patch on his chest. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a sought after marking? It's a sign that the pup will have a nice coat when an adult. That's what I've read.. But it's a question for breeders prolly. Either way they both are so cute! |

Would you name the breeder? I know of a few problem breeders in SOCA and would not want anyone to buy from them. There are several yorktkers here that have purchased in your area and could maybe chime in. |
Everything has been said that I would say. They are both cute and I don't think you could go wrong EXCEPT for not being able to meet the breeder, the parents, and see the pups in their habitat right now. Curious - why can't you go to the breeder's home? Also, is this breeder AKC and YTCA registered? |
If there breeder is not going to let you come see the pups, there parents, and where they are living I would walk away and find another breeder because that is one of the things puppy mills do and or brokers which are not good. |
They are both adorable! I'm sure you probably have your heart set on getting one of these puppies but you really need to check this breeder out first just to make sure it isn't a puppy mill you're dealing with. We weren't able to go to our breeders to pick out our pups but that was our decision not the breeders. Our breeder also came highly recommended on this site. There are a lot of experienced people on YT. I'd give the breeders name and see what they have to say. Good luck! |
Oh my I love #1s little face!!! But yea like others have said the not seeing him and the home setup first before purchase is a HUGE red flag for me also, plus I tend to go on the puppy reacts to me and let them pretty much pick their own home. |
For looks I like #1 but for personality I like #2. No help I know but personality is important |
Thank you all! Thank you all for the concerns, info and opinions... I'm pretty new to this website and I posted this thread last nite, but for hours the thread didnt show up on the website, so I thought that the posting was erased or deleted somehow...so when I saw this replies just now, I was shock!! thank you so much for helping me decided and also all the concerns...and also veryy sorry for the late reply... We have decided to go with #1...Sorry that I didnt clarify about the reason that I cant be there to choose...It's not that the breeder insisted of not coming to thier place..Oh..no..it wasnt like that....It's a long story...and we are sure that the the breeder is legitimate...(I dont know if that's the right word:) anyhow, our breeder is very nice & trusty people who cares of dogs so much!! thier dog is AKC registered as well...anyhow, thanks so much! and I'll post more pics when I get him...his bday is feb, 25 and Iill be pick him up either may 8th or 15th...cant wait!!! |

I think they are both cute :) I also think you should be able to see them, before I got my Riley the breeder let me see him every week for hour visits so he got use to m and my partner, I thought it was such a good idea. It made it so much easier when we took him home. |
Why are you not allowed to visit the pups? |
^^..make it simple..just too far~~ |
If you are totally comfortable with the breeder and trust that either pup is good health, then that is what we are all concerned about. I'm happy to see you made your choice. What a cutie :) When you get your little one home, we want lots of pics ok? We love pics around here ;) |
