Pup Sorry you were disappointed today, hope the owner is feeling better by tomorrow and that you can see the pup. The vet info sounds very promising. Praying all goes well tomorrow. :-)) |
Good luck shes very pretty. |
Ok so let me tell you all about my trip from h3ll after multiple calls from the owner today she decides to have me come out tonight to see the puppy. I drove 81 miles and paid $60 in gas to get there and have her say "well Im not sure if I really want to give her up".. I was so shocked that I didnt even know what to say. I was thinking "is this lady CRAZY or what". Why would you call and tell me to come and then when I get there not be ready to give her up. But to tell you the truth I was really kind of disappointed about how the puppy looked in person and the condition of her coat anyway. To make a long story short I left without coco and my search continues :( Thank you all for your help and support :aimeeyork |

GOOD for you!!! You followed your gut and not your heart....something was NOT right with this set up....thankfully, you were not impressed with the puppy at the outset....BTW, I would have been sooooooooo pissed about her pulling that stunt.... |
I am glad that you listened to your instincts. You made the right decision. You will find the right puppy for you. And your new fur baby will be worth the wait ! |
sorry you had to go through with this, and it was odd she changed her mind and had you come in the evening, wouldn\'t that have made it hard to have gone to the vet, she may have had that in her mind all along. I would be pissed as well, I know it often takes much longer than we would like it to but you will find the right puppy. |
Very strange...too much weirdness for me. At first, it sounded a little like what happened when I got Brody...but, I know a member of the previous owners\' family...a very good person. First, he had a grooming appointment that morning and they would call me after that and we would meet so I could pick him up. When the day wore into afternoon, I called them. A child had an event and they were just on their way back from that and would call me. Then they wanted to do the transfer tomorrow...which was a Sunday. I didn\'t want to get him without time to be with him and make him comfortable in my home before having to go back to work. I had thought I would have most of Saturday and all of Sunday, and at 14 months old, would be enough time, but it was looking like I might be picking him up just before bedtime Sunday night...to my warped little mind. lol So, I called them back and said it had to be today, and amazingly the doggie daddy...mommy was too broken up by having to re-home him to see him off...showed up within 30 minutes despite the \'too busy right now\' reasons for a Sunday transfer...which made me think there were some worrisome \'second thoughts\' going on that might preclude me even being able to get him. My point is that, if she was truly so saddened, and possibly quite ill, to have to give him up, the sequence of events might make some sense. But, at the end of your explanation, I am not so certain what was going on, and think you made the right choice. I am so sorry you went through all that...that\'s an expensive trip for nothing, but you are probably better off in the long run. Who knows what else she might have tried to pull. Perhaps that just wasn\'t your baby...who is still waiting for you to find him/her! {{{Hugs}}} |
