With Tibbe, it's cats yowling, the doorbell, garbage or big trucks in the alley, sometimes the postman and always the "thunk" UPS/FedEx make when they put the box up against the storm door. He knows that sound and he immediately thinks he's gotten a present or something for him - and he's usually right. He goes crazy when he hears that familiar thunk sound. |
I cannot sweep the kitchen floor with Lambeau out....he barks and charges @ the broom, runs thru whatever I have swept up ready for the dust pan...I have to put him in his ex-pen till I finish. He pays it no mind while its leaned up in the corner...but goes ballistic when I get my hands on it. The other thing that gets him going is when he hears me start my shower in mornings...jumping around til I get out and then.....he goes nuts licking my toes. Couple of times he's been shut out of the bathroom(gotta have some private time:)) and when I let him in, its straight for the toes and when he finds them dry he looks at me like..."Hey, what's the deal, Mom" |
Both of mine go insane over the doorbell, anyone entering their home, the vacuum cleaner (Bogie went so crazy last night attacking it that he bit his lip :( ) any time we come in after being gone for a while. The only person they don't go crazy barking when they come in is our granddaughter, they love her to pieces and mind her better than they do me:D |

The mailman is the worse, other deliveries, anything to do with the front door mostly. Dogs, people walking their dogs down the street, neighbors in their yard minding their own business. Cats stopping in the yard to leave us a smelly gift = / oh and critters or anyhting that goes bump in the night. They act like insane crazed idiots at time... but they are my insane crazed idiots !! :D . |
A bath makes my 4 turn into crazies..... 4 dogs with the zoomies is a riot. Meika goes nuts when I wear slippers around the house (rarely need them here so she is used to me being barefoot). She pounces at me wanting to play, like she thinks I strapped toys on my feet. |

I have to add that Cerci from Game of Thrones makes Cinders crazy! She wouldn't stop barking until Cerci was off the screen!! LMAO! |
[QUOTE=MauiGirl;4180914 Meika goes nuts when I wear slippers around the house (rarely need them here so she is used to me being barefoot). Loving all these stories!! This is one of the many reasons why I love Yorkies, they are true terriers and you never know what surprises are in store. A ball!! I have some crazy ballaholics here. They go crazy when they see a ball as they just gotta have it!! Even after we are done playing ball (I have to take it and hide it or put it up after so long as they won't stop) they go crazy looking for it. You know that jack russell terrier in the Dr. Doolittle movie that kept saying "throw the ball, throw the ball" over and over, that is mine. It is absolutely their favorite thing in this world and they will try anything to get that ball. They do go a little crazy when the doorbell rings or somewhere is here but that doesn't last but a minute whereas the ball obsession lasts for hours. Also they get a little crazy when I say "where's the kitty?" They start a frenzy by looking everywhere for my 2 cats. They don't chase them but they go crazy looking for them and then running to me and back to the cats showing me that they found them. |

My little weirdo goes nuts when he sees hot air balloons, water towers, the moon, airplanes and, of course, the usuals - squirrels, pussycats, crows, etc. |
Sqeak of a toy, the cats, putting him in the living room from his x pen . . . Maybe just being a puppy lol |
When the DH comes home! It's as if he's been away for weeks. She can't get enough of him. She has to smother his whole face with puppy kisses and wiggles so very much in his arms that he has to put her down before he drops her. LOL Obviously I've done something very wrong as she's supposed to be my dog. HAHA!! |

And he does the blinds thing too Donna, I think it's the clacking sound they make when they move....:D And he really, really hates one particular man that lives in our Close - I don't know why, he's never met him and has only seen him through the window...but he goes completely NUTS if he even gets a glimpse of him...maybe he's trying to tell me something!! ;) Sally + Harry x |
Dust mop ! Small swiffer to do the dusting ! Or paper towels to clean windows! |

Harry's Dad, " I would like an order of Fried Rice and Wonton Soup Wung Fu "What you say, you want soup" Harry's Dad "I want Wonton Soup" Wung Fu " yes I understand you want soup, but I can't hear you, can you say it louder Harry's Dad "No sorry I can't my dog is on the other side of the door listening" Wung Fu " CLICK" he say's to his wife, "pwank call":D:D:D |
The only thing so far that gets Roxy riled up and crazy is us! If I leave to take the trash out and come back she acts like I have been gone all day! It's even worse each day that I come home from work. She jumps around and when I pick her up she wiggles so much I'm afraid I will drop her and then she drowns me in teething puppy kisses:eek:. When the DH goes to take a shower and comes out she behaves the same way. I'm scared she may hyperventilate when we take her to see my son this week after not seeing him for over a month. |
Yumi goes completely nuts and barks at ME when the oven or microwave goes off until I get up and check the food. Its crazy, because she very rarely gets people food and when she does it's never anything that would have come from the oven or microwave. She'll come tell me all about it if I'm in the other room too. She also goes crazy over people. New people, People she knows, doesn't matter... If she hasn't seen you in the last 20min you are the most amazing thing that has ever happened to her. Both my dogs freak out if you come in the house carrying a plastic bag. Doesn't matter what you got they're SURE its for them. They also both freak out at the door bell, knocking, phone ringing.... Different kind of crazy, but Yuri is terrified of toys that have those weird honky squeakers. He runs in the other room and hides if he hears one, or even if he just sees one that he knows honked once before. We have no idea why. I had to give the honky toys to my sister lol |

When I come in the house with shopping bags, mostly grocery bags, bc they're all fun! I usually find a few $1 toys whenever I'm out, so the race is on to check each bag to find the toys! I think I'm the only person in the world with tiny dog footprints in my bread! Then they get their heads stuck in the handles and drag groceries all over the house till I catch them and release the bag! The meat bags have to go up on the counter, but I can tell which ones they are bc the dogs will keep trying more than once to get into those bags, lol. Total chaos till they get their prizes.:D |
Crazy out of their furbutt minds, number UNO is without a doubt the mailman. It doesn't help that the idiot (all of them) cross right under our front window across our front lawn to go to the house next door. All of the different ones have done it! And it is not supposed to be according to Canada Post. Next time I am home; I will run out the side door and speak to the man. Saying look I didn't come out the front door for a rreason. I know you know we have big dogs, but did you know that dog with reason enough could go through the plate glass window:) And summer is coming - I want to open my windows - hey what chance do you give a screen? Stay off my front lawn one or two feet at most from the front windows and doors. Next they do go ballistic for many of our toy games, and of course the water. It can get wearing at times - as they do bark to show their enthusiasnm - quite different bark to the defense one - but hey it is annoying too after 3 or so hours. Dogs real ones barking on TV - Oh dear me .... We have faces pushed into the TV and they don't get that they don't smell a real dog but actually hear one. The timer going off on the stove! For Magic that is ambrosia - FOOD is coming OUT - Divine Food - Succulent Meaty smells - People Food! ---- Mommy almost always gives me some. I guarded this food over the WHOLE afternoon ---- I must I must I must have SOME! Now you need to understand my big boy does NOT like heat - he finds the coolest place in the house to lay, Except when Mom's is Cooking!. Then he is no more than 12 inches away from the oven..... Good Grief:D Unfortunately for us and Magic -- once he got the smell of bear --- this is his most serious reaction. I can barely keep him under control. He abhors that smell. It only of course happens when we are camping - and unfortunately when he was a pup barely 18mths old, a bear came investigating our campsites. That is the campsites in our area. We had a beautifull fire going, lovely moon, and then whamoo bamoo - we heard tins rattling. Magic goes into guard stance - and it seems the next breath he is lunging barely a pause from his full throated serious guard bark and he is LUNGING. Pulls me clear out of my chair - I am on my back on the ground - Dave is up banging pans like crazy!! Magic PULLS me along the Ground towards the bear. This is against a double collar and leads. The bear left - but it came way to close for Magic's liking. thank God we did not have Razzle then. |
