Where I live we have huge Turkey Vultures and hawks. I don't even let Chewbacca outside without a leash and harness. I am just too scared. :(

Oh my that is scary. I like the idea of putting something the yard to run them off. I used to have an owl and I found some reflectors things and small blinking lights I put in the trees and I haven't seen that owl in over a year.

Maybe I can loop them through a piece of fabric then hang it on Pnut's dog run? Do you think I should be worried about Pnut being in his dog run!? I mean sometimes he will sun bathe and I will be doing stuff around the house- not really " watching" out there.

Are you sure it is a hawk? When I was looking at your photo that was a bit closer the head did not look like a hawk at all. Could it be a turkey vulture? I have seen a lot of hawks but I have never seen a turkey vulture but that head does not look like a hawk to me. It looks more like a vulture head.

Eww gross!! Aren't those things really big? For sure!! I wouldn't let him off leash either!! They are toooooo precious to us!

Wow that's cool!! Does anyone know why they are scared of reflections or lights?

Hmmm I think its a hawk- it does look a lot bigger- Aren't turkey vulters bigger? Let me google image Turkey V..

Hmm no I think it is a hawk.. Turkey V have like red on their heads.

I need to try to get a better pic of him.. He is always so high up my darn iphone doesnt zoom in- then when I go outside the brat leaves!

I am watching the video you sent me again....you called him more then just a brat LOL. I am glad Peanut has a dog run that's just too scary!!!!

Lol!!! I was so shocked to see how big he was I stuttered!! Haha

I still kinda worry with him out there and Pnut in his dog run..?? Maybe I'm just stressing I dont think theres anything he can do- even if he landed on the top.. I think Pnut would bark at him and run inside!

It's hard to tell by the picture but I thought I saw a redish head and there is something around the head that does not look hawkish. It may just be the angle. We have some big hawks around here and even some occasional eagles. The wing span on your bird when it is flying looks different, too. Do you have a good zoom lens on your camera? A close up of the head would tell you for sure. Either way it is a dangerous looking bird for sure.
