Well guess who is back!!?? She is rather sneaky.. When I was pulling out of my driveway I looked up and she was on the 5th tree down in my neighbors backyard. ( those tall green fern tress, not sure what they are called) I stopped and rolled my window down to snap a picture and a crow was flying around her- she flew up and then the crow chased her out in the field. |

I agree- I have heard of Owls at night, still have not seen one. I do know they are in the trees- |

Unless you've seen hawks stalking your dog, you have no idea how scary it is. We saw on hawk in our back yard. When I took my pup out to the front of the house on her leash to go potty, I couldn't believe what I saw. There were two hawks circling and making those horrible screeching sounds. We walked around for a little bit and I look up, and there were 4 hawks. I couldn't believe my eyes. It's so sad that I can't even let my dog go out on the balcony to just sit and enjoy the outdoors. It is better to be safe than sorry. Please stay with your pups and keep them on a harness and leash if these predatory birds are around your neighborhood. We don't take any chances! |

Unfortunately I have see a hawk stalk my baby. 3 years ago he was close to becoming a meal. Thank the LORD DH’s Mom was looking at him and was able to run down and scare the hawk.. the hawk was in a full blown dive.. straight down to Pnut. This was at DH’s parents house- they have a huge lot of land- they are lake front. He is not allowed in the backyard with no leash and harness, has never been since that day. |

Omg how scary!! Thank goodness she didn't run into her- that would have been a strong hit! Usually big dogs don't know their strength. My SIL has 2 pits- when they are around Pnut I'm right there.. They are really good with him, but sometimes they are a little rough, also Pnut thinks he is the size of them.. So that doesn't help LOL. |
