Maybe I should try using the shampoo I have but a human conditioner? :confused: I see some of you are doing that. Pantene the favorite?

Pantene or vive is what Ive used for 8 yrs. You will be pleased with the results

I also use Minksheen and Pantene conditioner. I can't find anything else that works as well with Piccolo's long coat. I do brush and comb her twice a day and use a detangler as necessary.

A lot of people use the Pantene Ice Shine. I've tried it before & while it does make the coat shiny, I feel like it leaves a bit too much resdue-feels kinda slick even with extensive rinsing. But, hey, you might like it & it's cheap.

Her hair is beautiful! Very silky and very long right now, but I am sure shes tired of matting wverytime she wears a harness, so we're shaving her saddle and maybe keeping the legs long. I'd NEVER cut her topknot though :rolleyes: Her skin is great now, thank goodness, although when we go outside it gets a little itchy again sometimes.

Yes I use pantene ice shine too. Ive never had any problems rinsing it out though

I used this stuff on mine last week & their coats were soooo shiny!
Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment - CVS pharmacy

I've only used it once though...so I don't really know how great it is.

I use different products on my pups. I use Coat Handler on Pippi...I had a hard time with her hair until I found that. :)

Shampoo is kinda like food...not all pups will agree w/it lolll!
Rhonda, do you use any kind of 'clarifying' shampoo? It will get rid of all the other products' residue that's left on the hair. A clarifying shampoo is a must if using silicone agents, as that coats the hair making a smooth shiny appearance. In the long run, it actually dries out the hair, so a clarifying shampoo will get rid of the residue & allow moisture back into the hair.
Rotating shampoos, conditioners & hair products is ideal too.

I carry the IOD & Pet Silk Deep Cleansing Shampoos. I've never personally tried Chris Christensen's, but they also make a clarifying shampoo called Clean Start.

Deep Cleansing is the same as Clarifying. All the shampoos I've mentioned are gentle & only strips the residue on the hair, not the oils on their skin. I'm sure there's lots of other good ones, just make sure you get the one that says it doesn't strip the natural oils on their skin.
