Since joining YT I have learned of new ways to do things with your dog. Like, I knew some dogs wore clothes, but I never tried them out until joining. I would have just stuck a collar on him and not walked him if it werent for YT because, I was/am a big dog owner. But tonight, my sweet boy let me put him in my purse and parade around the house (Im trying to convince my hub that I NEED to take him places with me)...
So my dog wears clothes, and LOVES them. When we go over to his basket (that I got from the GE from Cha Cha), we pick out which ones he wants to wear.
Then I have not one, not two, but THREE harnesses to choose from depending on where we are going, and his collar...which holds his tags.
And tonight, he was so patient with me while I tried to stuff him into 3 different types of bags, and kissed me while in, and wagged his little tail and kissed me more when I let him out. He didnt try to jump out which I was afraid he might, but just sat there while I was carrying him around. I am really considering a bag to get for him, but hes so tiny that I cant figure out which will be right for him. We have a date to the petstore thursday :D

Im not sure how he puts up with such "torture" but Im glad he does, and lovingly.

If I come back as a dog when I die, id love to be owned by you...you sound like a "perfect" yorkie owner!!!! :)

They are so great. Chewbacca doesn't love his purse as much anymore but will always let me dress him!

Lol it is amazing what they put up with! Peanut tolerates a lot, but the only thing he wont let me do is shove him in a purse... So Mommy bought him a stroller- he loves his stroller!

I was afraid he would start shaking or try to jump out...but he didnt do either. Just sat there and I gave him a cookie :) Hes such a ham!

Oh thats good! How old is Joey? I never let Pnut get use to the purse so by the time he was 3/4 ish he was like Im not going in there and he pulled the Garfield LOL

He just turned 1 on 1/11. Whats the Garfield?

You know like the window cling where his arms and legs were sticking out?

BAHAHAHAH!!! All I kept thinking was he was eating lasagna!! AHAHAH!! Im like "hmmm why would she give her dog lasagna in a purse. Wow, I am a nerd!

LOL... I have a few bags/carries but they are the cheap not so cute ones. Milo hates them. Now, with Crimson I just put her inside my purses alot...lol

I found this one, its black and red and white and I can get his name monogrammed on it..but I wanted to see how he would react with me carrying him. I hope he likes it thursday :D

ahhhh Love how they love you no matter what happens, lots of dog here love their bag because they know they get to go places in it, just try to get a comfy one. Joey is so cute and seems so well adjusted. I always feel bad for Lola when I do her hair especially top knot, she hangs her head low and waits for me to finish but then she looks for a treat and will lick my face if I let her following a grooming. Also she sleeps near me while I sew but tries to run when it comes time to try an outfit on, but she winds up sitting and letting me put it on her. That's why we love our pets so, because they always seem to love us even more.

Hmm, Mandie loves me but she gets pizzed off quite often. She hates wearing clothes but will tolerate them for pictures. I've never had an issue putting her in her carrier but I've never tried a purse or bag. She might would do it...but as antsy as she is, she probably wouldn't stay in there quietly for long lol

If your, Joey is giving you so many kisses, then you have to a very, loved mama! YT does seem to encourage the need to pamper our yorkie babies! I have always babied my pups but until I joined YT, I think I am so much worse! :) It is all good until someone tells me that my pups have more clothes than she does! :eek: I do love to dress and show off my babies. I really don't care what others have to say! Some say, they can tell that I am a empty nester because, they are always tucked under my arm where ever I go! :)

I dont know how he would do if I took him out and about...but just being in the house he didnt seem to mind.

Not gonna lie, he is my little baby, but if he didnt like the clothes or something I wouldnt do it. But both Joey and Carley love anything I do. Carley only gets bandannas because shes too big.

Aw, what a little sweetheart! Some babies really do like all the fussing, especially if you get them used to it early on. My Lex quickly learned to associate dressing up with "mama's taking me out somewhere fun!" She gets sooo excited!

What a sweet boy :) My two love their purse! My female jumps in and is ready to go :) My mom just rescued a 4 year old female yorkie and she is taking to the bag really well. You just have to have patience, lots of praise and be consistent. My female didn't want to put her head in the bag for the first year, but now she responds to the command 'head in' and slips her head in and lies down.

Good luck in your search for the perfect bag! It makes it really convenient to travel with them.

Cute story, Joey sounds like he is loving his grand lifestyle.

Sophie Kate won a Kwigy Bo bag in the YT Raffle and loves it!!! I believe the style is called the New England. It is very well constructed and not overly "girly" so Dad will carry it too.

Below is a picture of her trying out the bag the first night we had it. I keep it in my car now and use it often.
