Clothes in the summer? :ip:Do everyone let their furbaby wear their clothes in the summer?:aimeeyork |
This summer will be a life jacket when we go out on the water! Otherwise, its FL and too hot! Im probably going to shave his hair too, so hes going to be really nakkee  |
Zeus were's sleeveless shirts and lightweights in the summer....Thalia will probably wear the same. :) |
My girl and boy wear clothes all year round. Unless its over 100 degrees. |
Neo wears t-shirts, mainly because of allergies and scratching, but Connor actually enjoys to wear them. He rocks the tank tops! |
They can unless its too hot outside |
Mine do. But they are in airconditioning most of the time. |
Mine wear lightweight t-shirts or tanks in the summer inside the house. If we go outside they are naked when its hot. |
Teeka had a "sundress" last summer and she was so stink'n cute in it! I am hoping, Tatiana will be able to wear it this summer. I think it all depends how hot it is outside. I probably wouldn't put anything on them is if was too hot! |
only in the evenings or special days. |
Mine do depending on the temperature and what we are doing..mind you...I live in northern Minnesota so we are lucky to hit a few 80 degree days |

I shave my two and they will occasionally wear a t-shirt, but mostly just wear their harnesses or life jackets. It gets crazy hot here, so they definitely don't need any clothing! |
Here in CO it's not usually too hot except in July. Lexie has so many clothes, they need to get some wear, lol. :) She's also got an image to maintain as the local canine fashionista! :D :p |
When we are in the house Callie has to wear something or the ac freezes her but when we go somewhere she goes nakie because I am afraid she will over heat but I got cute bandannas for times like that :) |
Brody and Mia dress to go out to heavily air conditioned stores, etc. in summer due. They go 'au naturel' to potty, etc., because it is just too hot here a good part of the summer. Winter depends entirely on that day's temperature, since it can fluctuate a lot in Florida. |
I live in Texas and I was wondering if I wanted her to put on clothes in the summer. I dont want her to over heat at all. I know I will bee cutting her coat that we decided to grow out. It looks so pretty but Texas has some really hot days so I think cutting will be best. If I can find t-shirts then that might be what I decide to do for the summer. |
I will dress my baby in something light but she will never be in the sun for any long period of time. Can't wait to see her in her bikini! |
I shave my poodle down in the summer, so she has to wear cloths sometimes if the ac gets to cool for her. One yorkie has a full coat, so she will probably go naked and the other one is in the process of growing out her coat, so naked she will be too. Right now I am so cold I don't know if summer will ever come, but boy am I ever ready for it. |
I usually shave Clyde's hair REALLY short in the summer time ... and so yes, Clyde usually does wear really light shirts outside in the summer time. Usually tank-top type shirts, especially if we will be outdoor for hours (like on a hike or something). I am always worried about Clyde getting sunburned because of my friends dog who got skin cancer :( the vet said it was because of the short hair and constant exposure to the sun for prolonged periods of time. I've just developed ways to make sure he stays cool, even with clothes on. I haven't had Dexter during the summer time so I don't know what I'm going to do with him yet LOL. |
Honey coat has got pretty long but I think I will cut it for the summer and grow it out again when it gets cold. |

Tell us your ways to make sure he stays cool |
I brought Honey in July and I kept her in the house intil she had all her shots. Early September I started taking her outside to use the bathroom. So Honey really didnt get to go outside when it was hot. Plus im not an outside person at all but I have got a little better since I see she enjoys going to the park. So this will be my first "really" summer with her lol. |
i found out the hard way they can overheat even in cooler temps. It was 50 degrees here the other day and I put chachis fleece on him to take him for a walk. When I came back in my Husband said feel his back hes hot and i did and he was very hot where the fleece was |
Roxy just wears clothes during cold months. Summer is bare naked with the exception of life jacket or thundershirt. She loves wearing clothes, but it's usually just too warm in summer. If we have a cold spell or she seems chilled for some reason, I'll put a t-shirt or sweater on her though. Of course, I'm not convinced summer 2013 is actually going to get here!!! :-) |

A friend of mine that lives quite a distance away (Canada) sent me some cute little sundresses for Gracie. I didn't think we would ever use them but Gracie is a tropical kind of girl. She hates AC and she hates fans so sometimes I will put one of the sundresses on her when she is trying to hide from the cooler air. She has some T-shirts that work well for that, too. |
The humidity here is just too warm and sticky for summer clothes. Unless it's inside because his hair is really short because of the heat and then the A/C is cold for him. |
Sophie usually only wears a scarf during the summer. Occasionally she will wear a Detroit Tigers or Michigan State University t-shirt though  |
Honey might just wear her bows in the summer. I don't want her to over heat but I do want her to look cute. |
