Houston, we have AN ear 1 Attachment(s) Well after his groomer said on Saturday that if his ears are not up by now they are not going to stand up. When we left the groomers his one ear started popping up and down. lol Seriously up one minute and down the next. As of yesterday I can say it looks like it's a full time stand now. Should the other one follow soon? I have yet to tape his ears and feel silly taping his ears now if they are going to finally stand up on their own. Anyone else with a yorkie who had 1 late bloomer for an ear? I so want him to have the long whisps on his ears giving them a butterfly appearance. Kinda hard if one is down. Guess he could look like a butterfly that has had a run in with a windshield. :p BTW not sure if you can tell by his pictures but his ears are pretty big compared to a lot of other puppies his age that I have seen pictures posted of on here. I keep saying I hope he grows into his ears lol. |
hahaha now if that isnt the cutest. i have a couple pics of cedric doing this when he was younger....then they both stayed up and now we have ear curtains!! he is so adorable it will poop up when hes ready to let it. |
What a cutie pie! That pic made me laugh. Too sweet! I'm not sure if the other one is going to pop up on its own or not. I'd give it a week probably then try taping. |

sorry i meant pop not poop!! haha. |
He is soo cute. How old is he? If you want them permanently standing up you might have to tape them. By 3 months old they should be standing. You can tape them before 6 months. |
He is so darn cute. |
oh my word, he is sooo cute! |
lol about the size Milo is 9 months and seems to be growing in to his ears he was little dumbo pup. They will stand up in there own time, I personally don't agree with using tape |
Oh, what a little darling :D |
What a cute picture...I don't know too much about ears the three yorkies I have had all had standing ears but I do have a friend who's yorkie only has one standing ear. |
Your pup is adorable! P-Nut's ears didn't go up until he was about 4.5 months old. After his first groom, one ear stood up, then the other did after about a week. So maybe give ear#2 a little time... |

He's a side sleeper. So if they are not upright when he's sleeping, I perk them up for him(thought it could not hurt). Guess it's time for the tape. Maybe I'll tape them this Friday night and remove it Sunday night/Monday morning, so I'm home with him all the time they are taped. Honestly have been a little leery of doing it. Oh, and rubymoon2072, I completely missed the poop.lol Too cute. Guess poop is never too far from a yorkie mom or dad's mind. :p |
So cute. |

And thank you all for the compliments on my sweet little boy. There is just something about this little guy. Don't know if it's a yorkie thing (he's my first yorkie ever) or just the personality he was blessed with but he is something else. I have always had a strong love for any animal I have had. Pets are furry family to me. But I'm not exaggerating, this little man is my heart. |
Laddy's ears didn't stand until after his first ear trim. You might try feeding a little bit of cottage cheese daily until the other comes up. Also at that age he is probably teething so they will sometimes fall and then come back up. He sure is a cutie. |

True. Use blue painters tape it will not pull the hair or skin. Works better than masking tape, or scotch tape. |
Oh my gosh!! He is just so cute! I can't offer advice, I wasn't paying attention to Princess Sophie's ears and one day just noticed they were up. So I'm afraid I'm no help. |
Haha.. the title of this post made me laugh : ) Cute Puppy too ! |
I would tape it... It won't hurt and will probably help the other one stand :) |
Especially considering they tend to go up and down as these little darlings go through teething.....be sure to keep the hair trimmed off them, as that weighs them down.....and I would tape them, for just a little added uummmph!....if you are REALLY wanting them to stand erect, I would tape them.....if it does not make much difference, then I would not worry about it... |

Thanks for the tip. Will be heading to the store today so will pick some up. Can't hurt. If nothing else a special treat for him. |

When we taped my sister in laws pups ears we made several layers of the tape (stacked the tape first) then put some on either side of the ear. This made the tape stiffer and seemed to hold her ears up better. |
Oh my word, that is the cutest photo I have ever seen! Your baby is absolutely adorable! Cooper's ears were the same way -- up one day, down the next, and then a few weeks ago, they decided to stay standing permanently. Cooper is 19 weeks today, so I would say he was about the age of your little guy when they both popped up. Good luck! |
morgans ears stood up when we got him home and then one of his ears drooped and then he got a ear infection and when it cleared up both of his ears stood up and they still do |
