But the parent's hair didn't grow - not the one in that picture. And Yorkie puppies are fuzzy usually by the time they are weaned I think and for sure little furballs when you look at a 10 - 12 week old. Thick, thick fur all over their bodies and it stands up and out at about that age. She was just putting on a good act like all miscreants. Have you noticed that when caught none of the people that do the bad things ever admit to being guilty and all have such a good cover story. I'd report her to that registration agency using those photos alone and ask them for guidance as to what to do. And I would be tempted to give her a bit of a bad time and tell her you want your money back and will bring the dog back and when does she want to meet you for the exchange. That should set her back a bit. And you can call the morning of and cancel, tell her you've changed your mind and want a partial refund. But I would be so tempted to give her the worry that she's going to have to come up with the money until the last moment. Would that be terribly mean of me? ;)

And you can show those pictures to anybody anywhere and they will tell you those dogs are not Yorkshire Terriers, neither in conformation or coat. They could be mixes of several breeds or a dachshund mixed with a Yorkie/MinPin, etc., - you just can never tell what the genetics are unless you get a DNA test. In any event, you sure do have a sweet little girl. Maybe one day you can get her a playmate and if you still want one, get a Yorkie from a respected, reputable breeder so you can be certain that you are getting the genuine article.

My daughter has a silky terrier and as a 10 week old pup it looked exactly like a yorkie. They have fluff the same as yorkies. The one you posted to me looks like a mix also.

She is cute regardless and she could turn more Yorkie as she ages.

I would expect a responsible pet owner to love and accept this little beauty of a puppy, however, you have been scammed by the breeder. It is illegal and certainly unethical. I hope you will consider taking some action to make sure her ability to continue this activity is at least limited. Other potential buyers need to be protected from this scandalous activity.

Odd puppies:
The mother is either a wiry haired yorkie or silky terrier that was crossed with a full bred male yorkie. They produced puppies with short and long hair. I'm not saying all silkies have little fur, just that I thought the short haired pups are chorkies when i first saw them, they are cute. Or maybe one of the parents was a chorkie or had chihuahua in the line. The owner said the short haired puppies will grow fur like the mother as in a previous litter. I was just trying to say that maybe the op's pup will get a little fur down the road. Sorry if it came across that I was saying all silkies have little puppy fur, i found lots of pictures with furry pups too. :)

The puppy in question may in time develop a bit of a thicker coat but it will not develop a longer coat.

The picture didn't show up, here's another try...yes, I agree, the fur the op has will not have fur like a full bred yorkie should.
