Comments I do not think the comments are meant to hurt you but somones opinion. There are alot of health issues with Small (Mini, Teacup) yorkies and it is a lot of peoples opinion that breeding small (Teacup) yorkies is dangerious and cruel! Thanks, Sarah |
Oh, I am so sorry I put in La at YTCA so I'll try again |
Thanks Mason's Mommy, my out of town company came back in and I just got back to JonAn's Cookie Rogan but I see you got it. La and Mass are next to ea. other and only the Mass showed when it came up. I'm a big help!!!! |
Hi there , I am so sorry for your loss and the pain of the new puppy not making it. I know the pupy of your dreams is out there for you and you seem to be loving and patient , so you will find him or her. I know becasue i waited for years to get my yorkie and then my life changed and wasnt able to get the yorkies I had bonded with in my heart, it was a terrible loss that not many understood. I understand you hurt , and wish you luck with your continued search. As for you not coming here to be critized , some people tend forget that helping someone understand something doesnt have to be harsh or hurt ,and for that I am sorry . Best wishes :) :) |

I am truly sorry for your loss...both of them. It is a hard thing for anyone to have to cope with. |
I did not know the mom was that small until I spoke with the lady and met her. It is not written in stone that we are purchasing a puppy from her. I am very concerned about this dog and her puppies. This will be her 3rd litter. And the other 2 litters made it. The puppies that did not make it, their mom was 5 pounds. So, it can happen even if the yorkie is bigger. And I will never breed my yorkie. Just have her as a pet. We are still looking. It is not like we are going to make a hasty decision. We never gave this lady a deposit or anything. We are just on the list. We are hoping to find a yorkie closer to 5 pounds actually. But, just had no luck whatsoever finding one in our area yet. I have been searching nearly everyday since August. I wanted a yorkie in time for Christmas, but it would take a miracle for that to happen. |
pups I am sorry this happened to you...do you know for a fact the breeder lost these two litters? Sometimes breeders can be a bit hard hearted and I would hate to see you cry over something that did not actually happen. |

I'm sorry - anytime I hear about puppies not making it ...I just feel so bad for them and the mom....What a shame ...and I hope your breeder stops breeding that little mommy - she sounds like she's been through alot and maybe she needs a rest now ? I would be crying too....Sorry to hear this |
pups Since you know the breeder, you know the truth. We have had some sad stories here and on other forums..does anyone remember the breeder who promised a cheap pup, then told the person who was waiting that the litter died..the potential buyer called the vet and were told the litter was alive and well. The first experince I had with a good liar and Yorkies was with a friend who bred her male for a puppy back..the owner of the female told my friend the only live pup died. About 3 months later I went to a vet out of my area (about 25 miles away) He would do dental cleanings at a reduced rate for breeders and on a payment plan..while I was waiting, in comes the owner of the mommy Yorkie who lost her only pup..puppy was 12 weeks alive and well..so you see I can be very leery..I have run into some lulu's..LOL People lie about their children having cancer to get donation funds..nothing surprises me. |
Now that I think about it, it does seem a little fishy that none of these puppies from BOTH litters made it. Especially since both of her yorkies that were pregnant were both 5 pounds. But, she has a really good reputation. I live in a very tiny town and everyone knows her. And has nothing but the best to say about her. I was good friends with her son in high school. And I been in her home once. But, that was nearly 10 years ago and I don't really remember her at all. It would take a very cruel person to lie about something like this. I am going to believe her unless it is proven otherwise. And we were not asking for a discount on the puppies. She said her prices started at $800. And we were willing to put a deposit down and pay the rest sometime in February when the puppy was ready to go home. I know she is really hurting right now because these dogs are her life. I am just thankful that the mama dogs survived the labor and birth. These yorkies are so fragile that I would never even try to breed. That is why I only want one as a pet. I think with a dog as small and delicate as a yorkie, the birth should only be done under a vet's care. Because with vet assistance, they might of stood a better chance of surviving. |
I am so sorry about your sweet baby, Lacey. Also I want to tell you that I am sorry that the puppies died. Thats so sad. I believe that there is always a way to give advise or to give opionions without criticising. For some reason, some people just like to get things going....then in the end, after feelings are hurt....they want to apologize. We come here to learn and get good adivise and also give good adivse. Can't we give our new members a chance to feel like they can ask questions or just vent????? So many have been hurt and have never come back. Merry christmas. |
