Prayers Prayers for Dr. Deidre Blackmon's family and friends. The story behind the incident is allegedly this: Dr. Blackmon and two female friends were having a night out to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of one of the ladies. They stopped into a convenience store; upon leaving, one of her friends became became ill next to another customer's car. A woman from that car allegedly got into an argument with one or more of Dr. Blackmon's party who then drove off. The other car reportedly followed and fired several shots, fatally wounding Dr. Blackmon. The woman from that car was reportedly caught on the convenience store camera; this lead to her arrest and that of her boyfriend, the alleged shooter. Too sad for words. At least they caught the evil ********. |

Such a senseless horrible crime. Yes, there does seem to be more shooting stories in the news, but I hope people remember that the common theme in these shootings is not just that a gun was used, but that the shooters often have criminal backgrounds. This is why there are those that say should guns be banned the only ones that will have guns are cops and criminals. I hope they throw the book at those animals. Those kinds of actions make someone less than human in my eyes, and I hope the shooter gets the death penalty, because someone that would kill someone else over something so petty doesn't deserve to live themselves. I pray for peace and healing for her friends and family. I hope that they hold in their hearts the memory of the person they loved, and not how they lost her. |
