Sad news from Grapevine TX It was announced this evening on the news that Dr. Deidra Blackmon a vet at the emergency clinic in Grapevine,TX was shot in a road rage situation. She later died at the hospital. My thoughts and prayers go out to this family. There are two suspects in custody. |
Too sad... May the Lord watch over this family and serve justice to such a senseless crime. So sad. |
That is tragic news!!! That poor woman! I hope they can locate the shooter and throw the book at him or them! I sure will be praying for her family and her little pets. |

Is it just my own imagination or has there been more shootings since the new gun control laws? Every single day now I see on the news where someone has been shot. What is wrong with people anymore. Is it due to unrest over our failing economy, or is it that some have just given up trying! I even hear (most of the time now) from people that our last days are near. It's all so upsetting to me, and I pray for a more peaceful world. Lets not give anyone any reason to run us off the road or shoot us because there seems to be too many unbalanced people carrying guns. I think most shooters are the homeless people who are put out in the streets from mental facilities before they are ready, and are not very unstable. We need to put out the money in the direction of building more mental hospital s for these people and then maybe we would'nt have overcrowded prisons and no need to build more or be letting out harden criminals before their time. |

Prayers Prayers for Dr. Deidre Blackmon's family and friends. The story behind the incident is allegedly this: Dr. Blackmon and two female friends were having a night out to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of one of the ladies. They stopped into a convenience store; upon leaving, one of her friends became became ill next to another customer's car. A woman from that car allegedly got into an argument with one or more of Dr. Blackmon's party who then drove off. The other car reportedly followed and fired several shots, fatally wounding Dr. Blackmon. The woman from that car was reportedly caught on the convenience store camera; this lead to her arrest and that of her boyfriend, the alleged shooter. Too sad for words. At least they caught the evil ********. |

Such a senseless horrible crime. Yes, there does seem to be more shooting stories in the news, but I hope people remember that the common theme in these shootings is not just that a gun was used, but that the shooters often have criminal backgrounds. This is why there are those that say should guns be banned the only ones that will have guns are cops and criminals. I hope they throw the book at those animals. Those kinds of actions make someone less than human in my eyes, and I hope the shooter gets the death penalty, because someone that would kill someone else over something so petty doesn't deserve to live themselves. I pray for peace and healing for her friends and family. I hope that they hold in their hearts the memory of the person they loved, and not how they lost her. |
