Odd new habit that I need to know if I should stop or be concerned!!
 
We started to notice this new habit today when Stella finished her carrot first, she will go up to Guinness when he has something she wants like food or toys and since she is shorter she will go under him and bite his ummm weenie so of course he yleps drops whatever it is and runs for cover sooo could puppy teeth damage this area?? Should I try to stop it since it appears Guinness is just going to run in pain in hide??? Is this even normal?? Or do I just have a mini satan female in fur???

By the way Stella is almost 13 weeks Guinness is almost 2.

So sorry....have to laugh...... ummmm.....mini Satan??? Never had experience with that one!! Ummm.... all my boys weenies have been unattacked by my vicious 2 pound female so far!! ;) good luck!

Well that hasn't happened but Miss Priss gives Yoshi a run for his money..She is 6 lbs and Yoshi is 12 lbs. She is dominant over him. Not sure she has ever done any weenie nibbles..

I say that if Guinness isn't correcting her, but running from her and is in pain, you should correct her and teach her that's not nice.

Oh poor Guiness...that definately does not have to feel good...but can't help but laugh, mini satan in fur.......leave it to a female to figure out how to outsmart the male.....on a serious note, I would definately try to put a stop to it before it gets too out of control..:eek:

Laughing like crazy...even have tears coming....you are going to have to start writing a comedy book soon...the grand adventures of Guinness and Stella...what a hoot...in all seriousness..I think I would try stop it too...before she gets a little more jaw power!! :)

Ok but nip it in the budd, that is not acceptable behavior. If it continues there could be more issues with biting later on. The longer you allow him to continue the harder it will be to stop it. Plus Ouch. . Biting of ones weenie is Never a good thing !! :D

Now I just need to figure out the proper punishment for this one, its not like she is biting me soo hmmm

This is what I always did when the pups where biting. Start with an "AH AH" or "their name and a "NO". If it continued I would put my hand over their mussel and give a soft tap on the front of their mouth and a "NO BITE" If that failed I put them in a time out in their cage.

Sometimes I felt the need to take them up by the scruff of her neck while correcting them to help to get my point across. Its a natural thing that the mother dog would do to put them in there place. Plus it helped establish my leadership/alpha role. You just have to remember to be firm but gentle !

See I do the scruff and bite back if they bite me, I just did not know if it would work since she is biting him. :confused:

Well I wouldn't suggest going that far. Plus I wouldn't suggest trying to stop her in the act of the bite or she just may turn to bite you instead. But calmly go get her and correct the bad behavior asap. If you wait she wont know why shes bing corrected only that mamma is being mean.

I know it is not funny to your poor little guy but I could not help but laugh when I read it. I would tell her no and try to stop the behavior. Puppy teeth hurt on a finger I could not imagine puppy teeth on a males privates. Ouchie.

I did not notice it until Ryan and I caugh her doing it for the carrot and then twice since and all 3 times we have just been in shock and not had even been able to get a word out lol

This is a bit off topic, but I just HAVE to ask. What does she do to the cute guy in your avatar when HE has something that Stella wants? :lol tears

I agree with the others who say that Stella's weeny nipping days should be nipped in the bud.

You shouldn't use there name when scolding them or they will be afraid when they hear there name.

I know you are seriously looking for help with this situation, but I got such a good laugh out of this. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. She is something else again. She definitely knows how to get her way. I have not got advice though because my girls are very laid back and do not fight over anything with the boys. If they do something wrong though I put them by themselves somewhere for a time out. That seems to work.

I know...I feel so darn bad for poor Guinness but...I keep coming back to the thread reading it from original post to last post and the giggles start all over again....sorry alisha...but I love your dogs...all I need to do on a bad day is come here and find one of your posts...you have a poo slinging dirty fighting little girl...are you sure she isn't a monkey in disguise? And even I am speechless at the no teeth comment... Ryan reply was well I guess if we teach her that then we can't call her his sister anymore :rolleyes:

Okay - I tried not to laugh, but you have to admit, that is quite brilliant of her! Not unlike some other females I know... using their feminine wiles to get their way or in Stella's case, a bit of the Lorena Bobbit tactic without the knife :eek: Poor Guinness - but I do concur with the others - you have to put a stop to this now or Guinness may end up like John Wayne Bobbit!
