Izzy, oh Izzy, she has a couple of things. One is her ritual going to bed at night. I shared this I believe in the GE thread - she will stand at the top of my husband's head on his pillow and lick his head/face like she's cleaning him. Then she will come over to me, give me one really quick kiss and then she goes and lays down. Also, Jack will paw at his blanket to "make his bed." He kind of just scratches at his blankets and arranges them into a big ball that looks rather uncomfortable, but he must like it. Izzy hasn't gotten down the scratching part (only on my legs) and she will literally bounce on all fours (reminds us of a rabbit) and while she jumps up in the air, she turns so she is circling and jumping at the same time. Not even sure if her blankets get messed up, but it is hysterical to watch. (We will try to get video to share). The other thing she does, if my husband or I sneeze, she has to stop whatever it is she is doing and run over to us to make sure we are okay. As soon as we say thank you for checking on us she will resume what it was she was doing before we sneezed. |
Too darn funny!...we sure have a lotta smart pups around here ;) |

Well our Max does the "spin" by the door when he wants outside. He also know when his "Alan" is coming home from work as he sits on the back of the couch and watches for the truck. Then when he sees it coming from the road he whines and whines until it stops in the drive. Then it is a race to the door to "spin" with excitement! Teeka, is my baby and she will paw at my leg to lift her onto my lap. When I go to lift her, she gives a little leap into my had to "help" me to the lap! When it is lunch time and I begin to fix her lunch she stands at my feet whining and barking. It is as if she is telling me to hurry up because she just might starve to death, waiting! She also has gone to my bedroom door and barked to let me know she is ready for bed! Then when it is time to lay down, she has to get under the covers and curl up in the croak of my arm for the night@ They all have their own personality and quirks that make them so lovable and such awesome companions! :) |
Wallee uses his nose to bump me. If I dont acknowledge him he will start grumbling. If that fails, he will let out a very shrill bark. He is too vocal for his own good some days. |
Max and Teddy both use their paws to tap me on the leg to get my attention. They both do sits to beg for things. Max talks like Astro from Jetsons to let me know things. My favorite is Teddy when he needs something. He gets my attention and I have to ask a series of questions to figure out what he wants. When I get to the right question, Teddy turns in a circle and wags his tail. :) |

I got a good one !!!! Our bella will go sit at the door to the patio and slap the blinds to go out to pee on her pee pad....once i let her out she will go to her pee pad.......and get this look straight up me and fake pee !!! Like a drive by peeing ! Then run to her pee pee treat jar ! Oh yea ! Lol |
^^^ Hahaha! I remembered another "communication method" -- Max, if I sleep past his breakfast time, he sits on my face to get me out bed. Silly boy!! |
They are just too funny !!!! |
On day 2 of having Baxter he started sitting by my bed whining, even when I wasn't in it. I finally realized he wants in my bed because he knows that's the one place he can snuggle up to me and I'm not going anywhere for awhile! He also climbs up my legs, standing & sitting! I love this dog so much. |
Heidi's answer to the worlds problems is a spin. She wants something-- a spin and stares at you. Ask her something, if she likes that idea-- a spin. Very much likes the idea, two spins. "Do you want a treat?"-- Wild spinning. She also INSISTS I go with her to the puppy pad. How else is she going to get her treat, I guess. Another funny thing, at night she'll stand in the hallway trying to get me to go to bed. She'll lay down on my pillow, I tell her "You got my spot", she'll get up and let me lay down and she'll get settled. As soon as I get up again, even for a second, she's back on my pillow. Then we repeat the same thing-- "You got my spot!" and she hops back up. Its like she thinks its funny or something. One last crazy thing, she seems to think its a game for me to point my finger at her and she puts her mouth over it, just barely closing. Its the silliest thing, but she does it over & over and loves it. LoL |
