Okay - you experts - tell me what you think.

My not-so-little guy weighs 4 lbs at 15 weeks. I know no one can know for sure, but what are your educated guesses as to what his adult weight might be.

I was told that he will probably weigh between 5 and 10 pounds - which makes me think that one of his parents was probably not real small.

I wasn't looking for a tiny little Yorkie - because at my house his best friend will be (and already is) a 21-pound Bichon. However, after seeing them together, I have learned (since he is only 4 pounds now) that a 4 or 5 pound Yorkie can certainly hold his own with a larger dog. When they quit playing, both dogs are both exhausted.

I think you are suppose to double the weight at 3 months.....I have a 12 week old that is 5 lbs.....so I'm looking at a ten pounder I think...my oh my!!!

Not breeding tinies here thats for sure!

My guess is around 7-8 lbs.

Double his weight at 12 weeks and you get the answer. He might be a big yorkie, under 8 pounds. but probably above 6 pounds.

Lilfoot did you get a silky terrier in the mix of that breed to make it 10 pounds.

Yorkies come in all different shapes and sizes. My boy has champion bloodlines but is very far from standard. he has floppy ears, a long nose, long legs, and weighs 9 pounds at 8 months. Just the odd ball out I guess. But I wouldn't want him any other way. There is a yorkie on here that weighs 18 pounds and he's a purebred too.

As for your little guy, I'd say about 7-8 pounds! :)

It really is hard to tell. Kelsey is a yorkie-poo and weighed 3lbs at 3 months and now she's about 9lbs maybe a little more, I haven't weighed her in a few months. But even a 10lb dog is still SMALL...don't be discouraged! :D

I'm not discouraged at all -- I have said all along that I don't want a "tiny" Yorkie - but I'd also rather not have an 18-pound one either.

We'll just have to wait and see what Muffin weighs when he grows up.

He is cute as a button - so, I know no matter what - he will turn out cute!!!
