I was face washing and brushing teeth this morning when I found something odd on Jada's front teeth...OMG I feel so horrible. I have been sick and hadn't brushed teeth since Saturday and I really don't think this was there when I did. I have gotten most of it out..but there is still more. I am sure she will be put on antibiotics as the remaining hair (yes it is HAIR) is at the gumline and some probably below the gumline.

Jada is so pissed at me right now and I could just cry for not seeing this sooner. She chews on her beard hair a lot..so guess what..bye bye long beard when we get back from the vet.

YES THAT IS HAIR!! AND BOY IT STINKS :(

Thank You..I just hope they don't have to sedate..if so it will be tomorrow before anything can be done..she has eaten breakfast already this morning :(

That is amazing that she chewed off that much hair! Huey gets strands in his mouth all the time, but I have never found it stuck in his teeth, thank goodness. (I could see myself trying to floss him before going to the vet...doubt that would work out, though, since he wont even let me brush his teeth...he does it himself!) Good luck at the vet. :D

well if you were sick you cant beat urself up to bad we all have times when we cant follow our regular routine. i hope jada is ok and gives you loves after shes done being pissed.

Well we are back from the vet..Doc had to hold Miss Wiggle butt while the tech got the rest of the hair out. It was wound between her right incisor and the first lower canine tooth. The incisor was loose when they got the remaining hair, but the vet is hoping with 10 days of clindamyacin the tooth tightens up. Jada is getting her annual dental a month early (next Wed) praying she doesn't lose more teeth..he says it is because her mouth is so tiny that I can't get the toothbrush in there good. He also recommended an different dental tooth wash which I am getting next week.

oh my.. I sure hope the teeth are ok after the cleaning.

Don't beat yourself up.. I am now feeling very VERY guilty about how lax I am with brushing teeth. I will do better because this scared me:)
