I know it's wrong but I would have put the dog in my car and taken it. The next time the dog may not be so lucky. I wouldn't have spoken to the owner because if he did it once he'll do it again. Just be sneaky and don't let anybody see you take the dog.

Once again, my assessment of humans is that the collective IQ is dropping precipitously. (Note-see movie Idiocracy-unfortunately closer to the truth than anyone understands...:D)
Isn't it funny how they become instantly deaf when they have their minds set on something?

Donna - glad you didn't hit that baby. Hopefully this man will now keep little Sammy on a leash, though I doubt it.

Lots of guardian angel's were working overtime that day. So happy the Yorkie was not hit, and certainly not by you. How awful would that be....OMG?!?!? No comment on the lack of supervision over the Yorkie...don't think I really need to...:eek::confused::rolleyes:;):p:D

Neither dogs or cats should be running loose. First thing we did when we bought this house was to have a fence put up. Had a basset hound at that time but I knew she only though a car was to go for a ride in. Would have scared me to death if we didn't have the fence put up. She didn't walk well on a leash but she was on one until the fence was done. Now with little Amy I don't even let her out in the fenced in yard without us there with her.

Unfortunately stupidity isn't against the law. I don't know how people can let their pets run loose. One of the neighborhoods in my area was having a problem with coyotes...a chihuahua owner lets her dog out in the front yard one night to go potty and the dog was never seen alive again...a few days later the remains were found at the end of the street, it was determined that the dog had been killed by a coyote. Why on earth would you let your dog out in the unfenced front yard and not stay with it, knowing there is a coyote danger? Again, stupidity isn't against the law.
